My face turned red when I saw Aunt Matilda and Emily were present at the door. They were waiting for us.
“Giovanni! I think I can walk. There is nothing wrong with my legs, you know,” I threw a jab, but he didn’t care about any such things.
“I know, Princess! But, you are feeling dizzy, and I don’t want you to get hurt,” He informed in his nonchalant tone.
“Giovanni!” I hissed.
“I will kiss this pretty mouth of yours if you again argue with me on this,” His warning worked because I know this man…If he said he will kiss me in front of all of them, then he will…without giving a damn about anyone else’s opinions.
“Good girl! Love you, sweetheart.” His lips curled upward, but he quickly composed his demeanor.
