It felt as though my feet were glued to the ground. Why was I watching this? Why couldn’t I look away?
My eyes were locked on Silas as he kissed Lucia in front of everyone. My mind was numb, struggling to process the scene before me. This was the same Silas who had told me I was his everything, the same Silas I’d cautiously begun to trust. I had wanted to see if he was genuine, to test if I could believe in him.
I guess I had my answer now.
