Chapter 016

His breath mingled with mine, his dark eyes so captivating that I felt like drowning in them, it was like an endless abyss but I didn’t mind at the moment.

The pull that I felt towards him became even stronger, I felt like being in his arms at the moment and being kissed away by him. I imagined his lips mounded perfectly against mine.

His hand disappearing into my hair as he draws me closer to him, his hot and fresh breathe transferred into my mouth as he kissed me even deeper.

His lips, they looked very captivating, so full and plump. His chiseled jaw gave him a more masculine look, and those scattered moustsche and partially full beards that I’d draw closer to him as I kissed him.

I haven’t even kissed him yet, but I could already imagine what kissing him would feel like. I never knew I had a taste in men till I met Killian. He was all I could think about, he had taken over my senses completely.

After that intimate moment with Killian, he stormed off and I haven’t seen him since then. That scene would never leave my head anytime soon, and I was so sure of that.

The way he stared intensely into my eyes, how his breath mingled with mine and how dark his eyes were as he stared at me as though he was going to eat me up made my insides twist again.

I’ve tried really hard to stop thinking about it, but I just couldn’t. It has been three days, three whole days since that day and I could still smell him. It felt like his scent followed me everywhere I went to, it was stuck on my body.

And since that day too, Lily had been ignoring me. I didn’t know what I did to her, but she just didn’t want to see me for reasons best known to her.

I’ve been pretty lonely since that day, it was just Lily who used to talk to me. So, seeing as she wasn’t talking to me anymore, most people ignored me even more.

The only reason some of them used to greet me at times was because of Lily. And I really wanted to tell her about my pregnancy already, the bump was starting to come out and it would soon start getting noticeable by people.

“What exactly do you even think about?” I was brought back to reality by my new friend. Well, he approached me yesterday and we’ve been talking ever since then.

He was the one who used to tell me what to and what not to do while training. He has been really helpful and also very friendly too.

“A lot.” I mumbled.

“And I guess you can’t tell me about it, right?” He asked.

“I’m sorry.” I mouthed to him.

He nodded briskly, “I totally understand you, and I also know that you can’t just ease up around me that quickly. Baby steps and all. But you should smile more often though, you’re very pretty and frowning all the time doesn’t fit you.”

If there was anything that I noticed about Elvis, it was that he never failed to say his mind at all.

“Really? I didn’t even realize that I frown so often.” I mumbled, smiling a bit.

“There it is! I’m literally just seeing you smile for the first time!” He yelled.

“That’s a lie, I smile once in a while.”

“Trust me, you don’t smile at all. Maybe a chuckle, but never a smile.”

I didn’t even realize that I didn’t smile that often. I had a lot going on for me that happiness was very far from me. But Elvis had really lifted my spirit since we started talking yesterday.

“I’d take that into consideration now, maybe that’s even the reason most people don’t approach me.” I chucked.

“Well, it seems someone is approaching you now.”

As soon as he said that, I looked sideways to see Aurora and her friend coming towards us.

“What exactly do they want now?” I mumbled under my breath.

“Alpha sent for you, Elvis.” Aurora said.

“Oh, really? He didn’t mindlink me though.” He frowned.

“You can tell him that when you get to him.” Aurora shrugged.

I had an inkling that Killian didn’t send for Elvis at all, but I didn’t care about that.

”I guess I’ll do just that. I’ll be right back, Esme.” I frowned at the nickname, knowing I’ve told him not to call me that countless times already but he just wouldn’t listen. He finally left, leaving me alone with Aurora and her friend.

“So, you finally moved from Killian to Elvis. And even Lily has abandoned you.” Aurora said, laughing hard.

“Do you know how jobless you must be to notice such things about you? You’ve turned me into someone you study and watch so well, that’s the kind of influence I have on you.” I said, smirking hard.

“Well, we may be jobless but at least we’re not pregnant.” Her friend said, making my heart beat really hard.

“What?” I asked instinctively.

“You think it’s a secret? Well, we have a way of knowing stuff.” Aurora shrugged.

“Ho-how did you know? Who told you? What exactly do you want with me?” I asked, my voice quivering,

“We want you to leave this pack. Get the heck out of here and never come back, or we’ll kill the bastard you’re carrying.”

My wolf rose up in me, trying to break free and kill them by herself.

“You wouldn’t. I’ll murder you before you even touch my baby.” I threatened, my voice sounding so audible as I made sure they heard each word I said.

“But why? We didn’t even do anything to you. We just wanted to make sure you and the babies are safe. Why do you want to kill us now? Is that really your into time for us?’ Aurora asked, sounding surprisingly hurt.

I was lost as to what was wrong with her till I saw Killian coming towards us. It was then that I realized that it was a set up. She already said mean things to me, then she made it look like I started it.

“What’s going on here? Who’s killing who? Who’s having a baby?” Killian asked as he got to us.

“It’s Esmeralda. She was even pregnant before she got here, and she kept it a secret. Liz and I were just trying to be nice to her, then she threatened to kill us if we dared expose her.”

I was too stunned to say a word, the last time I was as shocked as I was was the day my father was killed right before my eyes.

“That’s a lie, I didn’t-”

“Are you pregnant or not?” Aurora asked.

I couldn’t even deny that, my shoulder slumped and I suddenly felt like I was before an executioner. I nodded slowly. The air went tense as Killian’s sharp gaze went down to my stomach.

“Meet me in my office now!”
