Maddox's POV
We arrived at the service entrance, and thanks to Margaret's access codes, we got in without any trouble. The door opened quietly, and we slipped inside, moving like shadows through the hallways I had memorized from Alina's pictures.
The building was buzzing with activity—catering staff setting up, security personnel on patrol, and guests arriving for the gala. We were cautious, sticking to service corridors and areas meant for staff only, avoiding contact where we could. When we had to, we dealt with anyone getting in our way quickly and quietly.
Two guards stationed near the service elevator never knew what hit them. Blade and another Serpent dragged them into a storage closet while we kept moving.
