Luckily, the silver ring finally broke. Violet felt it. The loud crash rang through the air again, and the air shimmered in front of her. Her father stepped back in shock, but she did not give him time to react further than that. She leaped at him and knocked him to the ground.
She held her claws at his throat and growled, "Where is Carl?"
"Will you attack your father?" he demanded, his voice croaking as her hand tightened around his throat. "Don't you see what you have become? You are a monster. I will do anything to save you from them, even if you kill me for it."
Violet did not get any information from him. She had to find Carl herself.
"You are the monster," Violet said, then smacked his head back against the ground hard enough to knock him out.
Violet got to her feet and ran back
