Violet thought about Ryan's suggestion all night. All the next day and even the next night. No other thought came into her head. Ryan had been right--completing the bond would be enough of a transformation. It would change her at every level of her being. If that didn't work, nothing would.
It wasn't as if Violet wanted to break the bond, but it wasn't something she could back out of later if she didn't like it. A soul bond was for life. And maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe Carl and Violet could live separate lives while still being linked. Despite what Ryan had said, it didn't mean marriage. Not all bonds were romantic. They could have a buddy bond; that would be fine. So, Violet looked into other ways to complete the bond that did not involve putting her lips on Carl's lips.
