Ted said, waving toward Ryan. "I need you to get close to Carl and this... creature. Keep your eyes and ears open for any information that might be useful to us. If we can restrain these inclinations before they take hold, and before this monster can twist Carl any further, then perhaps he won't be lost to us after all."
Violet stared at Ted, not understanding what he had said. His order was beyond her understanding.
Ted nodded to himself. "Yes, that is the best way. The alpha is busy, so it might be too long before she can get to it, and this kind of thing needs to be tweaked in the bud." He shook a finger at Violet. "Go on a double date with them. Gain their trust. I will tell you the right kind of thing to say. We will have him back with us in no time."
