The church was filled with laughter, music, and the scent of fresh roses as Emily Bennett stood beside her older sister, Olivia, helping her adjust the flowing white wedding gown.

"You look beautiful," Emily said, forcing a smile.

Olivia hugged her tightly. "Thank you for always being by my side. I couldn't have done this without you."

Emily smiled back, hiding the ache in her chest. She was genuinely happy for her sister, but she couldn't ignore the strange feeling that had settled over her since the engagement.

Moments later, the church doors opened.

Everyone rose to their feet.

Standing at the altar was Ethan Carter, the groom.

Tall, handsome, and dressed in a perfectly tailored black tuxedo, Ethan looked calm and confident. His warm smile appeared the moment he saw Olivia walking toward him.

As Emily watched him take her sister's hand, something inside her shifted.

"You okay?"

She turned to find Ethan standing behind her with two glasses of sparkling juice.

"You disappeared," he said, offering her one.

"I just needed some fresh air."

He nodded. "Big days can be overwhelming."

They stood in comfortable silence for a moment, watching the city lights shimmer below.

"I'm glad Olivia has someone like you," Emily said softly.

Ethan smiled. "I'll spend the rest of my life making sure she's happy."

His words warmed her heart and broke it at the same time.

Emily quickly looked away.
