Chapter 29
“No! Please no!” yelled Elizabeth as she turned toward the Emperor. “Please, I’ll do anything you want, just don’t kill him, please spare him!” she pleaded at him as he just raised his arm and the soldiers lowered their guns allowing Adam to stand up again. Elizabeth slowly approached the Emperor and stopped in front of him as they stared at each other for a moment. “I knew there was something different about you from the moment I saw you, and now after centuries you stand before me again,” he reached for the helmet and lifted with his arms as steam came out of it, removing it from his face. Elizabeth saw the same Emperor she saw back in Rome, Julius Caesar himself still alive and kicking after twenty or so centuries. Of course, his face was a bit old with wrinkles and whatnot,
