CHAPTER 15 RAVEN: My gaze wandered over the large structures of the pack house, wide with amazement. I had never seen anything like it before. The whole place was less of a house and more of a fortress. Its walls rose high, layered in grey stone and timber, etched with intricate designs that made the place even more beautiful. Spires and balconies jutted upward like the teeth of a beast, towering almost high enough to scrape the very summit of the mountains surrounding and hiding the pack. Inside, pillars held the grand hall open, thick as tree trunks and carved with spirals of wolves chasing moons.
