PRLOGUE

"Are you sure we're invited to the party? "I asked her.
We were in front of the entrance of a large and expensive hotel. In the car park, I noticed cars that were even more expensive in our lives.
Lyka held my hand. "Let's go inside so we can find out," she said.
Lyka has been my best friend since we were kids. We came here because of his friend's birthday. I thought we were going to a simple party, but I was wrong because we saw almost all the Philippines' famous people.
We handed the invitation card to the security guard so we could enter.
"Lyka, I think we went to the wrong party," I whispered to her.
"This is it," Lyka said.
Lyka pulled me over to the crowd, self-service taking food because it was a buffet. After we got food, we looked for an empty table.
"Who is your friend? Where is he?" I asked Lyka again. I don't like what is happening because I feel like I will be recognized here.
She looked at me, and smiled. "My friend Viel, I have not seen him yet."
I was shocked. Lyka mentioned Viel's name. "Who is Viel?"
"Viel Domingo,"
"f**k!"
Lyka's words exploded in my face like a bomb. Of all people, why is Viel Domingo?
"I'm going home," I stood up to leave.
"Where are you going, Xheree!"
"Viel!" I whispered
I was stunned by what I heard. It was as if I wanted to be swallowed up by the ground because of that voice. I closed my eyes firmly.
"Will you leave me again?" Viel said.
I bowed. I know many people are looking at the two of us.
"I'm sorry, I don't know you." I turned my back on him to leave. But I was surprised when he suddenly pulled me closer to him, and then he grabbed my waist and sealed a kiss in front of the crowd.
My eyes widened in shock. What will other people think? Am I a mistress?
I pushed him, and then I slapped him. That's all to keep my dignity from being ruined.
"Rude!"
He was shocked by what I did.
"Xheree," he said.
I stared at him. "I don't know you!"
Then I ran away from that hotel. I took a taxi to get home. I was overtaken by traffic on the road, so instead of getting home early. I got home late.
"Why did you take so long to get home?"
I moved backward when I heard that voice.
"Viel ..."
He was the reason I left the hotel, and then he was here. He stared at me as he approached. I was walking backward with him.
"W-Why are you here?"
He raised the key. "Have you forgotten that I bought this house for you and your brother."
I already stocked to the wall, so I could no longer walk. Viel leaned both hands against the wall so I could not get out. He was staring at me.
"Don't you know how much I missed you," His right hand crawled over my face down to my neck and arm. Then he tucked inside my dress and stroked my back.
"Viel, stop." I beg him.
I was afraid my heart and feelings would betray me.
"I still love you," then he kissed me on the lips.
"It's wrong, it shouldn't happen." my mind whispered.
