Ten Grace closed her office door and sank into her desk chair. She had the harried feeling that often overcame her when she spent the day traveling across the city, making multiple stops. It pressed against the mind, adding a weight that even her second bullet of koffee seemed unable to completely abate. But the junior inspector meeting had gone well. Grace was pleased with the quality of the trainees who’d been promoted to the position. And seeing a great deal of earnestness and enthusiasm always gave her hope. And it was hard not to be amused as they hung on to her every word.
