Chapter 3

1081 Words
The images rush into his head like rainstorm. A lady in her mid-twenties, running through a dark alley, chased by some unknown man which he noticed is an assassin, probably sent by a drug dealer. The lady’s face is strikingly beautiful even with the dirt and sweat covering her face. Her ponytailed hair swayed as she ran as fast as her feet take her, just to end up sliding on the hard stoned floor. She looked up with eyes filled with horror. Her pair of eyes staring right to the man standing after her. He looks back at the lady’s clear brown eyes and see a reflection of a man in black coat, as he walks closer, he sees himself on the reflection. Ethan Black wakes up with a throbbing in his head. He sits up, messing his already messed hair and looks around four grey walls that surround him. The stinging pain on his head is not helping him in remembering what happened before. Nothing comes in mind. He tries his best to remember the exact images that he just saw but all he sees are just the same images he has dreamed about these past 5 years. He breaks his long trance of thoughts and glance at the clock on the wall. It’s 5 in the evening, time to go home. Ethan locks the metal door of his service center, hops on his old motorbike and the old machine roars through the street. Ethan is currently 26 years old, successfully opened his own car service center once he finished college. His parents don’t mind what he’s doing as long as he loves his works and he does love it. He stops his bike in front of his house and skips into the house. Ethan is tackled by a hard punch on his abdomen, making him wince in pain, his face scrunch up as he sees his grinning brother. “What the hell!” “Serves you right, bro. Keep your eyes open or some klutz might just shot a bullet up your ass.” “f**k you, Mason!” Ethan stands up and in one fast swift movement locks Jason in a headlock. “Be a good boy and stay in your room, lil bro.” Mason struggles as he is dragged by Ethan back to his room before being thrown. He makes a quick turn before he loses balance and put up a fighting pose. “Just because you start working doesn’t make you superior!” “Yeah. Whatever. Go do your homework.” Ethan rolls his eyes and leaves Mason gaping. Mason is his younger brother by 3 years and currently is still in college. They have this sweet-annoying kind of sibling relationship. George Black married a British lady and was given two wonderful sons, Ethan Black and Mason Black. Ethan and Mason have been trained in combat fighting since they were able to stand on their own feet. Ever since the day they were born, it has been embedded in their mind and soul that they live solely for the purpose of protecting the young lady and young master of Smith family. Their father often tells them that it is a great shame if they are not able to protect their masters, for protecting them is basically the main reason why they are alive. To make their works hidden, they also have to do their own normal routine daily life which was the reason why Ethan is opening his car service center. Their real jobs start at night. Ethan is better in all aspects than Mason, and the firstborn of George which is why he is appointed to serve the young master of Smith, Caleb Smith, who is believed to become the heir of Smith family. He just doesn’t get it why Caleb has to be the heir of the Smith family. Having every day spent with the young master during his college years, Ethan just gets sick with every stupid i***t things that Caleb has done. As a protector who’s a year older, he has to deal with every single destruction that Caleb made. Mason on the bright side needs to take care of the young lady, Jennifer Smith. Jennifer is not as troublesome as her brother, but her denseness has drove Mason mad for time to time. The Solomon Inc is a secret company working undercover. It’s mainly divided into two divisions; the contacts and the assassins. The contacts are Smiths while Blacks are the assassins. The Smiths are dealing with the requests that are sent to the company itself while the Blacks are the ones doing all the dirty deeds. The company has been restless since the rumor about the company files leakage. With CIA and FBI behind their tails, they need to find out the location of the files as soon as possible. But to make things complicated, requests to eliminate all the listed targets still need to be completed. As Solomon Inc works in the field of assassinating, there are many other small enemies who are targeting them, trying to take them down.   ᴥᴥᴥ   Ethan scans his surrounding through his M1903A4 rifle, he sees a shadow behind the wall at the building across him. Mason is subtle with daggers, but he needs someone to cover up for him. Ethan sets his rifle and scans around once again when he notices a movement on the floor just above Mason’s. He marks down his target and pulls the trigger, the body falls flat on the floor and a smirk spreads across Ethan’s face.  He looks around again and finds another target is sneaking behind his brother. “Mason, 6 o’clock. I got your back.” “Copy that.” Ethan watches through his rifle as Mason moves around with his daggers ready, he notices another movement at the opposite direction and shifts his gaze to it before pulling his trigger. Another body falls down and Ethan sets his eyes on his brother again. Mason is engaged in a body combat, looks like the opponent is also a dagger user. Ethan watches through the lens, aims, and shoot. “Damn it!” “Scores you 3:0, brother.” Mason turns to the building across and shows Ethan the finger. They meet in the car 8 minutes later. The sun is just about to shine. Mason is cleaning up the dagger he used while complaining to his driving brother. “What the hell! I could handle it! You made me lose my fun!” “Ease up, Mason. I was just tired. Let’s get back before old man gets bitchy.” Another tiring night has just passed and another day for Ethan’s car service to shine again.
