Katie’s day begin rather late, she has been tossing a lot the whole night, asking herself about the new case that she’s going to be assigned to.
The fact that the Boss asked her to leave out her current case means that the new case is of that a high-security leveled kind of case and the only problem that according to her is the current most wanted case in the headquarters is the newly leaked jewel of the Solomon Inc.
If ever that is true, it might need a lot of time even for someone like Katie to solve. The only problem left is that she doesn’t like working with other agents, she’s an independent one.
She grabs her towel and jumps in for a quick shower, she needs to be ready soon and she wants to be at the headquarters as soon as she can, the curiosity almost killed her last night. There is no exact time for her to report back to the headquarters but really she just wants to know about her new case as soon as possible. She slides into her favorite pair of jeans and red leather jacket over a white t-shirt.
Neglecting to dry off her hair, she grabs her M1911 and slides it into her belt holster. She has been missing it since she posed as Hannah just a few days ago. The revolver was fine, but nothing beats her familiarity with M1911.
She heads down to the living room, snatches one of the car keys on the marble table and heads to the kitchen to grabs a piece or two of the leftover loafs. After gobbling down her simple breakfast of a loaf she heads out to the CIA headquarters.

She rushes to the Boss’ office and she can’t help but to feel surprised that there are other agents in the office. She knew that an important case needs more than one agent to solve, but to have the reality comes crashing to her face the minute she steps her foot in the headquarters is not something she had anticipated.
“Agent Campbell, it’s nice of you to finally show your nose.”
“I’m sorry for being rather late, Boss. With all due respect, sir, what the devil is Agent Ross doing here?”
“Oh, you’ll be working with him as a team for this case. Now let’s discuss about the case, shall we?”
Katie nods swiftly as she sits on one of the seats in the office when the Boss starts his explanation of the new case.
“I believe the both of you have heard rumors about the leaked information of the Solomon Inc. As we all know, the FBI and us have been trying to expose their secrets for all these years due to the tight information security that they have…
… Now even in there are only rumors about the leakage, I don’t want the FBI to sniffs off their dark secrets before us, which is why we have to make haste about investigating them thoroughly. You both are the best assets we have which is why I need you to work together from now on…
…Mind you, it will be hard to crack the case. Lately, ever since the rumor about the leakage go out, we have found 17 consecutive dead bodies around. 6 of them were identified as some big drugs dealer boss, the rest we assumed were their bodyguards. The six drugs bosses have gun wounds straight through their head or chest, the bodyguards were found with gun wounds and knives wounds at their vital body parts…
…We must think that the assassins are very well trained in handling gun and combat fighting. I want you to investigate what kind of business they are dealing with behind they goody façade. Report back to me directly. Is that understood?”
“Yes Boss.”
“I’ll have all the information I’ve got sent to both of you tonight. That’s all, you’re dismissed.”
Katie makes her way out of the office followed by her new assigned partner who were her direct supervisor for the past seven years.
“I guess it’s time to work together now, isn’t that right Katie? Or should I say Agent Campbell?”
“For the record, I never really like working with someone else, Sergeant.”
“You should probably drop that sergeant thing, we’re partners here Katie. Maybe you should start calling me Dussel?”
“Let’s keep it professional, Ross. You were my supervisor, I believe you know I work best when I’m alone. So if you’ll excuse me, I’ll start the investigation by reading about Solomon Inc. by myself. I will let you know when I find something.”
“It’s still hard to crack you, Kat-, Campbell. You should try to depend more to others. Alright, let me know when you got anything. See ya, Campbell!”
Katie waves back as she makes her way to her office. She loves the new case, it’s mysterious and it smells like danger and competition, the only thing she hates from it is the fact that she has to work with Dussel Ross. Dussel Ross is a fine man, he’s about 6’ with a layer of mustache attaching on his square face, his brown hair is usually combed back and he always has this signature smile showing his perfectly white aligned teeth. He’s actually a really good man, Katie knows he’s been over her heels since the first day he became her superior. But she is not romantically interested in him, she just doesn’t feel those sparks when she’s with him, on the contrary she feels rather disturbed with the continuous flirting from him.
A mountain of document is piling up on her desk, she sighs before plopping down on her chair and starts reading. This day is going to be long. Solomon Inc is a very big company, three years ago it was given to the oldest from Smith family; Caleb Smith. Before him, it was a very successful company under the guidance of Peter Smith. Peter Smith is an amazing man, he handles his company from zero, and it grows marvelously. The problem that the company is facing right now is, after the change in position, more and more threats are coming since Caleb has the control over the company. From the data that she reads, it can easily be concluded that Caleb is an i***t who cannot run a business. Sure thing is he can spend lots and lots of money but sadly it was all for useless fun.
Katie scoffs at the information on her hand, Caleb Smith has one sister, Jennifer Smith. Both of them simply are great money spender, Katie flips through a few pages of the documents, all she sees is party and party and another party, just a whole bunch of money-spending s**t. There are even several hospital bills, mostly for abortion, that jackass Caleb is a bastard thoroughly. Jennifer Smith is not so very different from her brother.
All the documents she reads has nothing about the leakage of the company. Its’s useless, everything it holds is about the messy encounters that those siblings have and Katie has no interest whatsoever in reading them anymore. She closes the last document and runs her fingers through her hair. She needs to find something to start her investigation. And she’s getting frustrated because the documents given by the Boss are filled with s**t.
