I knew what had happened even before Cindy could tell us. Begonia and Mary were involved, but why? How could they have carried this out?
"I found this phone in Begonia's room," Cindy said, taking a deep breath. "They were obsessed and angry because you marked Ruby, and not them. They kept coming up with plans to ensure she was out of the way."
"Why didn't you say something?" Tate growled. I clenched my fists, struggling to contain my rage.
"I'm sorry, Tate. I didn't think they would actually go through with it. I heard a few hours ago that Ruby was missing, so I went to talk to Begonia about it. That's when I found the phone tucked away in a drawer," she cried.
"I'm going to kill them!" Hayes growled and left the room. I followed him.
