Beth's POV
I momentarily closed my eyes as I saw Cindy walking towards us, fuming and growling. Vincent was beside her, barely able to walk after what had happened inside. I thought Tate would jump away from me and rush to stop her from shouting, but he didn't. Instead, he bent down to kiss my shoulder, gently helped me out of the car trunk, and pulled down my dress, fixing it. My wolf purred in my mind.
"Tate!" Cindy growled, hot tears streaming down her face. Tate finally turned to face her, letting out a low exhale.
