We stepped into the elegantly decorated ballroom, and a wave of lively energy enveloped us. The women wore exquisite gowns, while the men wore sharp tuxedos. Couples twirled elegantly across the polished floor. We were warmly welcomed by several women who complimented our appearance.
"Love the dress, Luna Ruby," Luna Mira said, sipping her champagne and looking at my diamond earrings.
I chatted with a few lovely Lunas while Manon left to catch up with some friends from college. The men gathered around her like bees to honey. It was clear she was the belle of the ball.
