After a frustrating afternoon and evening, the two detectives returned to Tamayo's apartment to shower and change. Morales had wanted to stay at headquarters, or take to the streets, question more of the dead couple's friends or just be involved in doing something. Tamayo had insisted that they go back to the apartment, to feed Jerry, to take a breather, wash off the smell of stale sweat, change into clean clothes and gather their thoughts away from the hubbub and turmoil of the office. He'd promised Morales that as soon as they were suitably refreshed, and he insisted on including food in that recipe, they would check in with the office, and return to the task of finding Sophia, alive and well.
