Danica already knew how this was going to go but she proceeded to open her mail anyways. It'd been three days since she had gotten Daniel José's mail from Maya after all efforts to reach him on his phone number had gone fruitless. She had subsequently sent mails on every single day since then, pretending to be an art collector interested in his art. There had been no reply, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that he had seen them. It was no surprise when she met her unanswered mails but that didn't stop a part of her from deflating just a little bit.
