By late afternoon, she finally mustered the courage to go downstairs. Head held high defiantly, she padded her way down, rehearsing the performance she was going to put up. She had definitely heard the shuffle of Tristan's steps down here while she had been cowering and even though, things had gone silent for almost an hour now, she wasn't taking her chances in case she found out that he was still here after all.
