Encounter with the king

The king’s palace was the brightest place in that world. 60 percent of the light from the portal was brought to the palace. The soldiers with golden armor showed them the way to the king. There was a huge room in the middle of the palace with a huge crystal with finely decorated outlines, light was trapped inside it. It illuminated the whole palace. There was a huge throne below it with diamond embedded all around and the king’s crown contained a ruby which was twinkling due to light. There was an iron bar just in front of the throne. The king’s skin tone was like a burning lava due to the consumption of energy, it seemed as if it can burst out any time. The soldiers grabbed them near the king.

His majesty pointed his finger toward George. One of the soldiers grabbed him and took him to the iron bar. ‘Hey boy speak, did you like this gold in my crown’ spoke the king with his heavy voice

‘I am afraid your majesty but I like the ruby in your crown’ speaks George faintly.

The king laughed so loud that the wave of his laughter made the room’s temperature rise. ‘I hope you will find your magic soon child otherwise I have to make another provision for you.’

‘I will make sure to find it soon, your majesty.’

Then the soldier pulled George from the bar and grabbed Caucus there.

‘I have great expectation from you, you seem to belong here, oh! I see you are Alex’s son. I knew he had something in him and he proved himself, he is one of my greatest court man. You can take him’, he ordered his soldier.

‘Thank-you your majesty, I won't let you down’, said Caucus.

He did the same with Voilet and Anna they were all eligible to search for their magic but it was time for Migma. Soldier grabbed him meanwhile Alex entered the room.

‘I am sorry, your majesty but it is emergency.’

‘Alex, what emergency can it be that you have to disturb me in my meeting.’

‘A wizard from Avory tried to burst into the room with the energy chamber.’

The king jumped out from his throne furiously, ‘where is he, I am gonna rip out his heart and feed him myself.’

Due to his anger his skin tone became more like fire and it was burning the air around him.

‘I am sorry your majesty but before our soldiers could catch him he vanished into the thin air.’

‘Today I will feed energy chamber myself, the blood of all those soldiers who were in charge to protect the energy chamber’, shouted the king. ‘But your majesty, I saw the wizard he was to quick to catch, I appeal you to give them a second chance.’

‘Today energy chamber will have a feast and if you appeal again you will be the part of feast too, do you want that.’

‘I am sorry your majesty’

‘Take them away from me now if you don’t want them to be part of feast too’, said the king pointing at Caucus and his friends.

Alex took all five of them outside the palace. ‘Was there a wizard for real, Alex’, asked Anna wearily.

‘No, I created one out of my magic and when soldiers came running toward it I just made it disappear’, said he.

‘That means we will be the reason for all those soldier’s death, we cannot let that happen, can we?’ Caucus exclaimed.

‘We cannot have all in this world, it’s one way or another, I saw that one coming but we had to save Migma’, said Alex putting his hand on Caucus’s shoulder.

‘But we can try something.’

‘It’s not the time for us to think about it, from tomorrow your countdown begins as a searcher. You must find your magic within 30 days otherwise you know the consequences.’

‘Wait, if Migma could find his magic he won’t have to go into the chamber right’, asked Caucus pulling Migma who was listening to them.

‘It’s almost impossible for him to find magic, Magic is the 6th sense of human. People out there on earth have six senses but only five of them are active but here from series of meditation and potions one tries to activate his sixth sense which is embedded within their body, and it doesn’t mean everyone has a sixth sense, only some chosen one have it, Nature gives it to those who can handle. Three out of five searchers are pushed into the chamber daily. So people here think disabled one doesn’t acquire the capacity to hold sixth sense’. Migma who was very hurt to hear one more word of him being disabled pulled out his hand from Caucus and went away.

‘I don’t believe it, I will try every possible thing to make sure he will get his magic’, said Caucus.

‘We will together’, Anna hugged Caucus comforting him.

‘We will’, Voilet and George joined them.

Alex gave each one of them his magic cloak,‘This is the map to uncle Jha house. He helps searchers to find their magic. He was the one to helped me through my bad times when I was new to this world. After seeing these cloak he will know I am the one who send you there. He will give you a place to live, I will come there to meet you till then take care of yourself’, said he. Caucus and Alex hugged each other. They each wore their respective cloak and begun to fly toward searcher’s town.

‘Does anyone here feel good about being an adult all of the sudden’ Voilet said tearing up the silence in the air.

‘Two days ago when I was still a child my only work was to find medicinal herb and sell it but now I am 25 years old all of the sudden and I have to find my magic otherwise I will be consumed by some stupid chamber if this counts as good then, of course, I am feeling good’, said George in an aggressive tone.

Migma was still upset about the whole disable thing, to cheer his mood Caucus started to fly around him, soon everyone joined him and in less than a minute everyone was laughing and mocking each other. That was the only time in the whole day when they were actually laughing.

Talking about a day there was nothing like day and night, as that world lacked sun the people there used to call 20 hours as one day. Their countdown to find their magic was going to begin after 2 hours.
