Caucus and his journey

I am your father

Someone woke them up ‘hey! Wake up fast it’s time for people to visit his majesty’, said the man shaking Caucus and his friend.

‘Hey! I know you’ said Caucus opening his eyes

‘wake up fast, it’s already three hour since you guys fell asleep’, said the man again.

Caucus stood up and was staring at the man’s face continuously, ‘I have seen you somewhere, but I don’t know where’, said Caucus.

‘No, you don’t I am here for long now, technically you weren’t even born that time.’

‘I have seen you somewhere before but I forgot where.’

‘It seems you are still hallucinating due to the cleansing process.’ Soon Anna, Voilet, George and Migma all were awake.

‘Wait, what was that I never felt such intense happiness before’, said Anna.

‘It is the cleansing process of this world, it cleans your mind and soul along with your body, many people here are doomed by it, Frequent use of it erase all the memory from your brain, then you will be of no use to his majesty and finally you are pushed into energy chamber.’

‘Everyone is talking about the energy chamber here, What is that energy chamber’, asked George.

‘I will clear your curiosity later, first you have to follow me to his majesty palace, Make him happy your destiny depends on him.’

They all begun to walk on a hallway to an elevator. The elevator was floating in the air, with no support, no door, and no buttons. When they climbed to the elevator it slowly began to float downward and finally they were on the ground floor. While they were walking past the garden with all colored roses Anna speaks, ‘ are you going to tell us about the energy chamber or not.’

‘Listen, despite being magical this world lacks star to provide energy. Many years ago this world used to be dark but the late king with the help of witch and wizards created a portal to the earth.’

‘You mean the cave from where we came here is a portal’, Anna asked.

‘More than a portal it is a small black-hole. Witch made it in a different part of the earth so that none of the human life have to face danger from it but could capture every light which passes.’

‘But what about energy chamber’ asked Caucus. ‘The light we capture from the portal is not enough for this world and is not long term too, so the late king again gathered several witch and wizards to create such chamber which can consume energy from anything that goes inside it. After it becomes full it can create the sun for this world.

For thousands of years the late king fed chamber with trees, rocks, and lightening which doesn’t have feelings. But it only couldn’t fill the chamber, thousand’s of years of hard work only resulted in a 30% rise in energy.’

‘So he started to push human through it’, Voilet whispered in a faint voice.

‘No, he was a good king he would never have done that until his nephew blinded of powers betrayed his uncle and consumed every ounce of energy that late king collected from the chamber, he killed all of his family and those who came between. From his magic he opened portal wide for humans to pass through it. He feeds it magic from people who find it in themselves, and one who cannot do magic are directly sent into it.’

‘The stranger on the boat said he will push Migma into the chamber because he cannot speak’, Anna sniveled.

‘It’s true, if he really cannot speak, the king will surely feed him to the chamber. But I cannot help you guys. I am bounded to serve the king, so the path after this should be paved by yourself.’

There was a huge building in front of them

‘This is where his majesty lives’, said the man.

‘I don’t want to go there’, sobs Anna.

‘There is no way you could escape his majesty order, you have to go there without me.’

Caucus ignoring everything was just focused on the man’s face. He was burning inside by the Deja-vu of that face.

‘Wait, I remember you. You were the one I saw in a picture with my mom’, Caucus exclaimed.

‘Who is your mom?’, asked he.

‘Maria.’

‘Shah.’

‘How did you knew my last name’, exclaimed Caucus.

Tear starts to flow from the man’s eyes he gets on his knee and hugs Caucus

sobbing ‘I am your father Alex. I never thought I could see you again’, said the man. He lifted his hands and went for Caucus’s face,

‘you have grown a lot, my son, I still remember the day you came into the world, your momma helped me carry you in my arms that is when you hold my finger with your little hand, that time I felt I got everything in the world.’

By that time tears were flowing from Caucus’s eyes too he also gets down in his knee ‘Mom always used to talk with your picture, Why did you leave us?’, asked Caucus

‘When your mom took me to your aunt’s home back then, I saw the cave there for the first time. When I was there, five of the tourist get lost from that jungle, villagers were saying it was due to the cave. And when we got back to Nepalgunj that cave came to my dream every day. I wanted an answer. So without telling Maria about that, I ran away from the house. I reached there next morning and end up falling here’, said Alex, ‘I guess my curiosity got embedded in your DNA too, but now your mom should be worried about you dear, she can’t handle losing you after losing me’, said he.

‘She won’t, she died taking care of her patents in flu, she got one’, Caucus remembered his mom and the time she died, all the things his aunt said to him that time didn’t made any sense to him now. He realized not only his body was mature then, but also his mental age speed up while coming through the portal.

Both Alex and Caucus began to cry hugging each other. Seeing them Migma also couldn’t help himself but cry so did Anna and Voilet.

After sometimes Alex took all of them to his house near the palace.

His house was surrounded by different types of flowers. It was just like a dream house, small and sweet, ‘magicians are meant to live in quanta world, but after living there for a month, I realized I don’t belong there so I asked his majesty for a small house where I can be myself and here it is’, said Alex opening the door.

Inside there was a big portrait of Maria, ‘ after I came here, I missed her so much that I made this. I can’t believe she is no more there in any world’, said Alex touching the portrait.

‘From all of the things Elli said to me, she was right about her being at peace’, said Caucus going toward Alex.

After sometime Alex brought cookies for them, ‘in this world you can only find cookies in my house’, said he. Every one of them enjoyed the food.

‘Did you aged too when you came from the portal’ George asked

‘yes, that portal is a space-time continuum, Every second you spend there results in a 1-year increase of your physical and mental age. You are 15 years older now than you were out there’, said he.

‘That means, I am 21 years old now’ Anna exclaimed painfully. She stood up and observed her whole body.

‘yes’, said Alex.

‘I am hating it’, said she.

‘But you look beautiful than before, I bet you would have got a lead role in movies if you were out there’, said Voilet in flattery way.

‘And I bet you would have repelled every woman near you with your demonic look’, replied Anna angrily.

Voilet, Caucus, George, and Migma all of their faces were covered with beards and their hair was so long that it was touching the floor when they were sitting on the chair.

‘ I almost forgot u all need a little makeover now, let’s cut your hair and beard’ Alex stood and observed each one of them. ‘In this world, magicians prefer to be clean shaved, what do you want guys’, said he.

‘We have never done it before, so just do whatever you want’, said George.

Alex waved his hand chanted little something like, ‘endos evoro devorous’, then he touched beard of each boy and next second they were all clean shaved. He was about to touch George’s hair ‘I don’t want to be bald’, yells George. Alex chuckles a little and said, ‘I won’t, just have faith in me’, ‘endos evoro devorous’ he goes again he slightly touch George’s hair from little above his head and next second his hair was finely cut. He did the same to everyone. After giving them new a hair cut. He provided clothes to them. They were exactly like the one searcher’s were wearing. It was an umbrella-like dress extending from neck to knee having a small opening in the middle for hands. As there were no other options they had to wear it.

‘now what do you feel about me’ asked Voilet looking at Anna.

‘Same as before’, said she.

‘I don’t want to give up on Migma after mom’s death he is the only one with whom I felt more attached and I couldn’t lose him now’, said Caucus making the whole environment around him sentimental, everyone hung up their head. Migma went toward Caucus and hugged him.

‘I have a plan’, said Alex tearing up the silence.

‘What is that’, said Anna in hope.

‘You have to trust me’, said Alex.

‘You are the only one here whom we could trust Alex’, said Voilet looking at him.

‘Okay you five have to go up there, inside king’s chamber, you have to be honest, his majesty will notice immediately if anyone there lies. He can go right through other’s mind. After you are placed in front of the king he will start to question from oldest one, that means you, George, just answer him honestly up to the time when he starts to question Migma I will distract him to let go of him, so are we ready?’, shouted Alex where all five of them hugged each other.
