The determined and the confused...?
"Don't tell me, you wear that kind of clothes when you met Lucas?" Jennifer exclaimed unbelievably when she saw Sofia's outfit.
Jennifer is Sofia's cousin and her best friend who was absent for years because she studied abroad. Without her best friend, she was alone also for years.
"Don't lecture me now, Jen. I'm unlucky tonight! What is wrong with my outfit and how did you know I'm meeting him?" Sofia said in frustration taking a seat.
"How can I not? I can't believe what you did to yourself! I'm guilty of leaving you here. Look at you, poor in fashion!" Jennifer said it was a pure distaste.
"Oh my god, Jen! This is my choice and I'm happy not wearing those slutty clothes just to catch a big fish." Sofia will, of course, defend herself.
Jennifer is known to be straightforward and she is used to her cousin.
"Silly! Why wear slutty when you can wear decent, yet sexy and that thing is unsexy!" Jennifer said while pointing her. She was really after Sofia's poor taste of clothes.
"I am comfortable with this!"
"Yes, you are because those are like your sleeping gown." Jennifer rolled her eyes at that. She cannot believe Sofia's choice on an important day.
"Why are you here, by the way?" Sofia asked not to talk more about her choice of clothes.
"Trust me Sofia, you need to bring out what's the best in you. You are beautiful and you can be more beautiful! I'm here to ask you about your meeting with him. Your Papa was so excited about the meeting and he was so positive that you will get it." Jennifer said with enthusiasm after knowing the fact that she did not make it, well there's still a chance.
"He, what? I just told you, I’m unlucky. He rejected me before he even looked at my proposal." She sighed knowing that she would disappoint her Papa.
"And did you just give up?" Jennifer inquired even if she knew Sofia is not the type of person that easily give up.
"Of course not, and here is the thing. He gave me a chance. One more chance but.. " that's when she remembered, Lucas did not give her the date, on when they will be meeting next.
Her frustration doubled. She was so caught up by her emotion earlier that she did not ask him. She just let him go.
"You don't know when? Then it means nothing, no more chance for you Sofia." Jennifer said with almost pity. Knowing Sofia, she knew how she worked hard for it.
"Please, don't give me that look, Jen! You are not helping me." She massaged her temple; Sofia was already stressed these past few days and meeting Lucas will lead her to depression.
"It's easy, go to his office and personally ask him!" Jennifer said as if she gave light to Sofia's dark path.
"You are right! You are the best Jen!" Sofia said gratefully, she never thought of visiting Lucas unannounced, but she has no choice but to do it.
"Of course!" Jennifer gave her a wide grin.
"And hey, when is our bonding, you know like girls bonding?" Jennifer asked remembering the purpose of her visit.
"Soon Jen, I need to focus on this one first. Okay?" Sofia gave Jennifer a wide smile but her mind is already elsewhere.
"Whatever! That's always the answer I got from you lately." Jennifer pouted.
"Aw, don't be sad. Promise we will do it soon!" Sofia gave her a hug and a kiss after reassuring her.
"You better do your promise or else I'll travel to Asia for one year!"
"You can't do that to me!"
"I'm just kidding. You know I have better things to do here than travel."
Jennifer then left after an hour of catching up and Sofia can't sleep better that night.

"Lucas, Katrina Sue is in-suite 505 waiting for you." It was his butler, Jason.
Suite 505 is his business with pleasure room. Jason is aware of what will be happening in that special room.
He was still not in the mood but hearing Jason, his sour mood was somehow lifted.
Lucas immediately went to the suite ready for the business. That is all he needed, someone that is wise enough to deal business with him in a passionate way.
"Lucas Grand, I'm glad you are already here," Katrina said flirtatiously when Lucas entered the room.
Lucas then looked at her from head to toe just like how he scanned Sofia earlier. He shook his head at that. His reaction was the same, he is not happy at all. Instead, he was disgusted, a reaction he never had before in this kind of scene.
The woman was only wearing a lacy bra and panties with a white folder in her hand. He should be happy but tonight, the sight of her did not give him an effect.
"What are you doing?" He scowled at her.
"I thought, this is what you want?" Katrina asked nervously.
She was right but tonight was not the night for Lucas.
"We better talk when you are already decent." He has the guts to tell his guest when it was his intention last time to deal with the business in an exciting way.
He left the woman in the room without further notice as if he is not Lucas. He feels strange with his own action.
Jason was surprised to see him out in a minute. He expected it to be after an hour or more.
What is wrong with him? If he was talking decency then he had Sofia earlier all wrapped up, and when he needed something more, he has the woman almost naked in suite 505.
Lucas can't believe what was happening to him. He immediately accused Sofia in his mind that it was her doing, that she cast some spell earlier which made him behave this way.
He even saw Sofia in the dark laughing at him.
