Adrain's words of caution still lingered in my mind as I pondered the implications of having Selene as my personal slave. "Having her around will only bring trouble, especially with Olivia," he had warned.
But I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to Selene than met the eye. I needed to keep her close, to solve the mystery that surrounded her.
I reviewed the file on my desk, taking a quick peek at Adrain as his amused expression caught my attention. "What's so funny?" I asked, my eyes narrowing slightly.
"Do you have feelings for her?" he teased, his eyes sparkling with delight.
