I sprang to my feet quickly, my heart racing with anticipation as I rushed out the door but to my dismay, I met with an empty hallway.
I let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing my forehead and I turned to head back inside and bumped into someone, my heart beating fast.
"Are you okay?" Adrain's concerned voice broke the silence.
I released a shallow breath, my heart still racing "You scared me" I frowned, attempting to compose myself
His expression softened "Sorry, I heard sounds and I came out to check who it was" He replied while I nodded.
"It's nothing, It might be a rat or something" I lied heading towards my room.
"Good night" I whispered, heading inside.
