“Your story makes me feel that we lived a life of leisure and had a vacation in a tropical paradise,” Aggie said.
“Well I know that’s far from the truth,” Mary said. “Too many of my friends served in the Pacific. But, tell us about bout the palm trees and the flowers. Were the Hawaiian Islands the tropical paradise we’ve heard?”
“Oh, they’re ok, I guess,” Aggie nonchalantly answered. “You know, ya see one palm tree, you’ve seen ‘em all.”
“What! Aggie, you know that’s not true,” Rosie exclaimed. “They are all so different, and swaying in a breeze at sunrise or sunset, they do look so romantic, just like picture postcards.
