The Escapade of Althea

Chapter 9

Third Person's POV 

It's been a month now since Althea joins the Elites, and they've been practicing and trains themselves to be stronger more than ever. Hailey and Althea become good friends and they're practicing more together since they're both focusing on magic. Hailey is on defense, using her debuffs magic and healing power to the rest of the group, and Althea on the other hand is assigned to handle the offense. 

The two of them are now at the center of the forest where there are low-level monsters where their magic can be cast. Hailey cast a slow debuff to goblins and Althea burns them all. She focuses on his fire magic spell since that is the most useful and powerful magic she has. 

"I'll go home now, gotta sneak up on Bryan." She said and Hailey smiles at what she just heard. 

"Still not quitting about that? He's the most powerful assassin right now in the city." Hailey said to her with a teasing smile on her face. Althea shrug and said, 

"And that's why he's the best one to be trained with when it comes to being an assassin after my mom." After she said that, she runs towards where their house is.

After practicing her magic, she goes home to find Bryan. That's her routine since then. 

Althea also trains with him too, they're doing some sparring and duel without using any magic. And almost all the time she's losing. In fact, they're having a duel after she practices magic with Hailey. 

She sneaks up on him but he notices her presence once she attacks him, she's invisible to others when she's just observing, but her aura is strong when she decided to attack someone or some monster. And that's her weakness. Bryan smiles and dodges the punch she's about to do. 

"This is so unfair," She complained. Bryan dashes towards her and attacks her, she's on now on defense mode. She can't seem to attack him whenever he's on attack mode. 

Bryan kicks her to her shoulder but she immediately dodges it, she's getting the hang of his speed and strength, but she still can't match with him without using her magic. Bryan seems to know where her weaknesses are so he's winning easily. Bryan is good at observing, it's one of his strengths. That's why he's the one who's making plans when it comes to battle. 

Althea is so pissed off that she can't beat him even just once, so she decided to start to cast an enhanced speed but Bryan quickly dashes towards her and pinned her down. 

"I said no magic involve, how many times do you want to be pinned down like this? This is a training to enhance your physical strength, just like what your dad did to us." He said with a serious hint to his voice. She smiles then looks away with the guilt of being caught. 

"Or maybe you like me pinning you down like this?" He said with a smirk on his face, Althea blush the second he said that. She kicks him with all her strength to where it hurts the most and that's why he instantly get up from Althea and so she did. 

"It's to do that obviously," Althea shouted at him and went inside the house. Bryan just shook his head and chuckles. Althea hears Chloe laughing while sitting in the living room once she went inside. She looks at Althea and said,

"You are too obvious sweetie, you blush every single time," Chloe said while laughing to her, she blushes immediately and glare at her. She approaches her then jumps on her. Chloe laughs so hard while Althea burry herself to her. 

All of them are fond of her now, and they immediately warm up to her. She instantly becomes close to them, and she's also sleeping in their house too. She found another set of family and that made her very happy like all her suffering is worth it.

Max is going to buy something in the city but now can't move because he sees the two cuddlings one another. 

"Now is bad timing to go out now." He said to himself. He just sat there and listen to what they're talking about so he can tease Althea later. He's like a big brother to Althea like she never had, and even if he's always teasing her, she's happy. 

"Althea, can I ask you a question?" Chloe asks, she nodded then look at her. "Do you think you can now enter the tower without worrying too much? If you still need time, we can always delay it."

She looks at her for a second then smiles at her. "Is that why it took us a month before you ask this? You know Chloe with all of you around, all my worries are now gone. Let's go have some fun!" She said with her sweet voice. Chloe's face instantly lights up and shriek. 

"Does that mean we can now enter the tower?" Max stands up and runs towards where they are and said excitedly, the two looks at him with a shocked face. 

"Are you listening to us secretly?" Chloe shouted to him. Max panics and Althea blushes and glare at him.

"You're the one to blame, I'm going out but you two decided to hug each other and cuddle up! It's very awkward!" He explained shyly to them, the two girls look at each other and then to him. 

"You're such a p*****t!" They both shouted at him and then throw a pillow at him. 

"But to answer your question, yes we will," Althea said to Max, he runs outside to call Hailey and Bryan to go inside the house. The three of them came home running and look at the two sitting pretty. 

"What's up?" Hailey asks the two of them. "Max said you have an announcement to make." 

Althea and Chloe start to laugh.

"Stop training and get a rest now because tomorrow morning, we will start to conquer the Tower of Life." and after Chloe said that, all of them have a big huge smile on their face, including Bryan.
