The Escapade of Althea

Chapter 10

Third Person's POV

They're now in front of the Tower, and they've done registering too. They're now all set to go inside the tower. Almost all of the people are cheering them up to clear it and bring home the treasures. They're the group almost all have hope for. 

They all look at each other and then walk towards the Tower of Life. They didn't waste their energy and time once they're inside. They talk about this and for the first to the tenth level Bryan and Chloe will fight and cleared the floor all by themselves.

Now they're on the 15th floor and Max is the only one who is helping the two, the three of them are not having any single trouble clearing the floor all by themselves. 

When they reached the 20th floor, Althea joins the fight not because she needs too but because she's bored already and wants to have fun with them too. While Hailey is focusing for now on healing and restoring of Althea's magic power. 

They encounter different monsters, and beast while doing so. Although it's all a low-level monster, it runs in a group. So they're conserving all their skills and magic power and just using physical strength. And that's why they're using Bryan and Chloe more because they're the one who has the most stamina when it comes to this. 

They're now on the 25th floor, and to be honest they are ascending very quickly and not having any single problem. They're all in sync and not having any troubles clearing the floors, they're powerful, and their moves are harmonizing with each other. They complete one another, and that what's make them Elite. 

"Wow, I know you are good and the best. But I am shocked to see that we can clear the floor this fast." Althea said to them after clearing the 25th floor, they look at her then laugh. 

"You know you're one of us now, right? That means that you are that good too, the best." Chloe said to her with a huge smile on her face. She smiled at her and clung to her arms and they approach the stair. But before they can even reach it Hailey shouted. 

"Wait, don't step on that!" But it's too late now cause Althea and Chloe already step on it, and all of them relocated to another room. 

"A trap?" Max said then all of them look at Althea cause they knew what she's been through before. Bryan immediately approaches her and pulls her closer to him. 

"Don't be afraid, we're here." He said to her then pulls her more closer to him. On the other hand, Althea isn't affected by the trap, but more affected that Bryan pulling her closer to him. She blushes but tries to focus because anytime they can be battling a high-level monster. "What floor are we on, Hailey?"

"70th floor" All of them look at her to check if she's joking but her face says it all. She's dead serious and all of them start to be very cautious of the surroundings. Chloe looks and examine the surroundings and look at her teammates. 

"Let's calm down and be alert all the time. It's been two minutes and we have no sight of what creature this floor have." Chloe said and the rest of them are just listening to her. She looks at Bryan and asks him "What's the plan?"

"Let's all use search spell, then shout and give the direction of whatever moves except us." He said then look at Althea and said 

"You have the most range and can detect even the smallest thing when you're using the search spell, so we're counting on you." He said, she nodded and smiled at him. She then pulls away to him and focus on her surroundings and start to use the search spell. 

"Max, be ready anytime so you can shield us when someone attacks any of us," Bryan commanded him, he then nodded and get his shield ready. 

All of them are alert and examining the surroundings but three minutes have passed and no still attacking them. Althea moves, do some deep breathing, and maximize her range to search. "Chloe on your left!" 

She shouted and Chloe instantly defends herself and also Max dashes towards Chloe's left to defend her, a water sword instantly revealed and so is a beautiful young lady, a siren. 

"You're good, young lady. How did you notice me?" The siren looks at Althea and asks her. They're all shocked when they heard the siren speak. 

"The intent to kill is very strong when you attack her. And that gives you away." She said and looks at her intently. They all move to another side where Althea is and faces the siren. 

"Oh, where are my manners. I'm Cascade, the water maiden." She said then bow to them. She's a beautiful siren, she has an aqua blue body and a dark blue fitted dress. Her face looks angelic and demonic at the same time. 

"I don't think I can take you all at the same time, so boys go to sleep." She said then started to sing a song. 

"Hailey nullified her spell," Althea said, but before she said it Hailey's already trying to do but can't cancel it all out. Chloe attacks the siren and Althea supports her by her fire magic spell while Cascade singing.

But the siren has a strong defense that's all over her and Chloe just flew once her sword landed on her defense, and the fire Althea cast just canceled out.

Bryan and Max, can't do anything as they're already in a hallucination of the best dream they can have. They're now laying in the ground and just sleeping like a baby.

"Hailey, protect those two. And just continue to debuff her while we attack her." Althea said to her and she just nodded in agreement and hurriedly did what she told. She then looks at Chloe and they nodded to each other.

"I'll try to break the defense," Althea said and Chloe started to dash towards the siren and attacks her. Althea cast a "Fire Explosion", the amount of power she used can burn a house down quickly, but it only cracks the shield the siren has.

"It's been so long since someone can do that." The siren said, she smirks and looks at Althea. But Chloe is using her sword technique to her and that annoys her. So the siren wielded her Water Blade and attacks Chloe with it. She's on defense mode now and Althea is throwing fire spells so she can help Chloe. Hailey is slowly debuffing her by paralyze or slow effect but none of it came through to the siren's defense.

"You're starting to annoy me." The siren said to Chloe and start to attack her aggressively. Althea runs towards her and helps her deflect all the siren attacks, but the siren grabs Althea and throws her on one side enough for her to stay down for a while. 

"Althea!" Chloe and Hailey shouted. Hailey runs towards her but Althea said

"Go and protect them, I'm okay." She said so Hailey looks at her intently and decided to go back where Max and Bryan is. 

"Come on you guys, we need your help here!" Hailey said looking at the two boys who are sleeping so soundly. Then she looks at Chloe who is now worn out defending herself from the siren, she immediately heals her, and now Chloe has full energy again. 

"Even if you heal her, she will die like the two boys over there. They're going to die, the longer they sleep, the longer they will have the chance to wake up." The siren said then laugh making the three girls tremble in fear of what the siren said. 

Chloe lost her composture and attack aggressively to the siren which the siren's laugh more loudly. Althea grew her eyes bigger by the sight of Chloe, she can't believe that she's panicking and the past is happening again but she remember what her dad taught her and said to her. So she shook her head, slap herself, and run towards Chloe and pulls her away to the siren and make her seat beside Hailey. 

"Snap out of it, Chloe. You are giving in to her temptation, that's what she wants to make us panic." Althea said to her seriously, Chloe and Hailey start to calm down and then they look to the two boys whose laying in the ground. "Hailey, heal her up and both of you calm down. When you're fully okay, join me to the fight, Chloe." 

She walks away from them and walks towards where the siren is. She smiled to Cascade and said, 

"You have your fun, now I'll have mine."
