The Escapade of Althea

Chapter 3

Third Person's POV

The party that found Althea and watch the whole thing, decided to stop their quest and brings Althea out of the tower first. Once they are out, they saw the 'Elite' approaching their party. 

"Princess Chloe." The group said once the Elite party reached them

"What happens to her? And where's her team?" Chloe asked. She's a blonde young woman who is the princess of the city and the warrior of the Elite. 

"Her team dies fighting a B level monster, they must have activated a trap and transport them to the 60th floor." Dennis, the Royal Guard, explained. 

"And she fought it alone and defeat it?" Hailey asked with a shock on her face. The brown-haired, small woman and the healer of the party. Dennis just nodded. 

"Bring her to the inflammatory house now," Bryan commanded Dennis, and they immediately followed. Chloe looks at Bryan and smiles. "Looks like we found our Magic Caster." He said. 

"We still need to test her and make her stronger so this tragic won't happen again." Max reminded them. 

"Leave that to me," Bryan said with a smirk on his face. 

"That is unusual. You usually leave matters to us when it comes to this." Chloe said chuckling. Bryan ignores her and walks away, leaving them smiling. 

Althea's POV

I wake up in an unfamiliar place and see someone besides me sitting on a chair smiling. "You're awake, that's good," she said. I look at her and asked, "Where am I?" 

"We're in the inflammatory house. Don't you remember anything?" And that's where I remember what happened back in the tower. They're gone and it's my fault for not being strong enough to protect them. 

"What do you want?" I asked coldly to her. 

"I am Chloe, I was wondering if you want to join us and conquer the tower. We've been searching for a strong Magic Caster, like you. And don't worry unlike us we are not that weak and can protect ourse..." 

"Get out!" I shouted to her, cutting her off to what she's saying and looked away from her. There's silence in the room for a minute and she stands up to her seat but before she walks away she said: "I'm sorry for being insensitive, I guess I was too excited to know there's a great Mage here." then she walks away. 

When I know there's no one in the room but me, I started crying and blame myself for not being strong enough to even protect my team. I keep crying and crying until I fall asleep.

I woke up with a pain in my eyes, must be from all the crying I did. I decided to get up and quickly fix myself and the bed I lay down. I rushed to leave the room and go directly to the lobby of the guild house to see and do some requests there. I must train hard and fulfill my former team's dream. I will conquer the tower even if I am all alone. I am now searching for a quest that I can do and put some coins, so I can continue to eat. 

I look at the request board and found something good. I picked it up and head towards where the quest is. It is one of the villages here in the city, a small one. It seems creeps are harvesting their plants and goblins are stealing their food. It's a simple one but I can learn here to control my level of magic.  But before heading out, I register my name to the registrar for this quest and head out. 

An hour passed since I travel and I am almost there. I saw a group of creeps making their way to the village, so I ran towards them and wait for them to gather in one place.

"Stealth Mode on, Enhance Speed." I cast and ran and I wait for the right timing to burn them all. I gather them in one place using my "Wind Blast" to trap them in my "Wind Cage" a tornado looking that holds them out in the air. Now that they are all trap in my "Wind Cage" I focus my energy and adjusted it like my father used to do. I'll cast a powerful and high energy fire spell so all of them will burn to ashes, "Fire Burst Explosion!" 

I watch them burn in the air while they're trap in the cage. I notice someone is approaching me while looking at the burning creeps. 

"Who are you?" The man asked me once he reached me. 

"I accepted your request at the guild house." I plainly explained to him. 

"I ask for a team and not a solo adventurer." He said slightly annoyed. I looked at him and going to answer back but I saw a goblin throw a spear so I move him away first. He looks frightened when he sees the spear and looks at the goblin. 

"Don't move." I commanded but he just starts to run, and shouted: "This is why I requested a team."

I quickly cast "Wind s***h" to all the spear they're throwing to him while he's running towards a house. When he reach and enter the house I immediately face the goblins. "Water Bomb" and that immediately throws some of the goblins away from the village. 

Once they are on the ground again, they started attacking me instead. They're a D-level Goblins and I think there's ten of them. I smiled as I know I can go all out to them and control my fire magic. And again, I cast a 'Wind Cage' and put them there. 

I cast a low magic spell first so I know how they're going to be affected, "Fire Burst" 

But to my dismay, they're all dead now. After the goblins are all dead, the man once again approaches me.

"Thank you for saving my life. And I am sorry about earlier, but do you think no one will ever attack us." He asked. I looked at him and looked away

"You should request for someone who can put a barrier in your village. Don't pay me on this cause it will be expensive for your next request." I said and walk away from him.

I've been doing this a month now and I always feel that someone is following or watching me. And it's starting to irritate me. I choose to slay some monster in the forest and see if they're going to follow me again. And if they do, I will confront them and ask what the hell do they want from me. So I better hurry and be ready for it. 

I'm now in the forest and waiting for some monster and use my search spell so I can feel my surroundings. And I am right, they're here. I can feel completely the presence of the other one but there's someone who is good at concealing his aura, I almost didn't notice him. This is bad, I might die when I face them alone like this. I must hurry and go out to much more advantage space.

"Stealth Mode and Enhance Speed" I cast and run away to much bigger space, we're still in the middle of the forest and worst comes to worst I can and got to teleport in my home. I saw a C-level monster approaching me, a water monster. I immediately cast a powerful air spell and it died.  

I'm tired of waiting so I face where they're hiding "What do you want from me?" 

One person reveals herself and it seems it's the warrior from the Elite. "You sure know you're magic that you can sense my presence." She said, I ignored her, and I look through the woods again.

"How about you come out too?" I said and I see that she looked shocked as to what I said. The person with her is another one from her team. "What do you two want?" I asked.

"How did you know there were two of us?" The boy asked as he reveals himself.
