The Mural

Of all scenarios, I did not predict was I would see. My review would've been a huge towering bouncer or two guards with the latest AKs standing at each post of my door. Then, on the lighter side, maybe a maid or so bringing in food and leaving behind a message that says, ‘Get ready’ .... But what entered my cell was a doll! Yep, a doll. And to further crash all our hopes for getting information, the admins did not bother covering up their parts or making them look more class-like the type of AI in X-Machina, Terminator, or the Matrix... Even robocop would've been preferable. What I saw was moving scrap. The kind you would not feel bad about even though it was about to be sawed into two. I for one, could batter it up if it was installed with a Human-robot interaction... Or Emotional contagion. I would not feel a thing! That shows the sort of disappointment I felt then. And this robot... Acted as a maid! it pushed in a cart with food and a protein smoothy. I couldn't even bring myself to say thanks. I gulped the noodles and scrambled eggs with a slice of bacon before drinking the smoothy. . I felt it was too late to care if they wanted to poison us. It was stupid to think that way with the type of power they displayed before. Just the Meat eating zombies would do the job quite well. The robot stood and 'watched' me until I placed the empty plates on the cart. I plan to continue my meditation, I didn't put too much thought in this before, since I wasn't too much of an animistic or spiritual sort. But I almost touched on to something then. It wouldn't hurt to enter that sort of state again. However, the robot had other plans, or was it whoever was controlling them? “Player KIX, kindly pick your relevant items and follow me. Player KIX, kindly pick your relevant items and follow me. Player KIX, kindly pick your relevant items and follow me...” It repeated itself three quick successions, before stopping for not a second short of 10 seconds, before continuing. At some point, I had wanted to crash something at it, or completely ignore it, maybe because of the grating make a voice that came out from the abdomen of this piece of metal. “I see the admins are planning on infuriating us till our hairs pull out. Why give an old male voice to this freaking metalloid? damn!” I remember that right from the split second in which I wore the wristwatch on my left wrist, I consented to being a player in this game of death. Nothing short of being a slave. I sigh and brought up everything I could. I picked up my new dagger and strapped it on my waist using my belt holds. Then I wore my super strong military boots. Thank the gods the pair had soft inside, or my toes would've been riddled with blisters after a while. I chewed the small piece of paper and swallowed it, this was a secret that could become important as the game continues. There wasn't anything left to take with me. I stretched my body lazily and follow the damned robot. ... As I walked out, a sinking feeling of coldness spread through my body. The coldness of the watch on my wrist reminded me of my fate outside this walls. ——— THIRD PERSON POV ——— Kiragi followed the robot without saying a word, truthfully, he had tried speaking to it before but got no response, so he settled on cursing it once a while to ease his boredom. Finally, after taking multiple branches that could leave a normal person confused, they came to their destination. And again, the creators of the assault game succeeded in making him jaw slacked again. “This is my destination? What is the meaning of this?” ‘Or, more puzzling, how did we reach this place? and where is the door!?’ It was a forest, whether it was artificial or it grew naturally, he didn't care to ask. What he got confused with, was how the door they just existed somehow disappeared right before his eyes. His behind was now the other side of the forest. Meaning he was surrounded with trees, and thorny shrubs, and there was no indication of the house he just exited. “What am I still speculating for? Teleportation shouldn't be impossible for these types of people. Wait a minute, can one of us awaken a teleportation ability too? Sick!” If it was so, then his quest to finish the game was another version of Mission Impossible. “Player KIX: The objective for the second level of Assault game is— Man The Dragon's Egg!. Details as follows ( You would be provided with an orb. Your mission is to protect the orb and move on to the Finish Line. The Time Limit to achieve this is one day. On the way, you can steal orbs from other players. Each orb gives you 5000 Points. Getting to the finishing line gives you 1000 points. On the way, there would be ‘Safe Points' where you can rest. Fighting or stealing is forbidden there. For completing the first level, you automatically have 200 points in your account. You can get what you want before the start of the event. #Note that you only have an hour before the start # You can ask how to buy items or information ) “How can I buy these things?” ( Beep! Use your finger to latch onto the watch on your wrist. Follow the instructions on the pop-up panel ) “Like this?” Kiragi placed his right thumb on the screen of the watch. Instantly he felt a sharp pain, causing him to jerk his hand away. Somehow he was bleeding. Kiragi looked at the watch with a weird expression. The blood on the watch was seemingly 'sucked' into it. His surprise did not end there, After a second, a holographic panel like the one in Iron man two appeared, with a data string connecting to the watch. ‘Like I thought, this watch is not ordinary at all!’ On the display, he saw a welcome message. It was funny that they even prepared their ‘Terms and Conditions’ and like with normal operations it was lengthy. Aeries read through, trying to see if he could see a hint if which company and where it was located, but there wasn't a thing he could understand. He instead gave up and click okay. There he saw his profile, on it several things were written [ Name: Kisagi Tetta Player: KIX Age: 21 Height: 187cm Blood group: AB Location: Flying Forest Current Game Level: Man Your Dragon Egg. ] He could not identify much with this, there did not put his skill or the precise location on the map, Kiragi knew there was no place like the Flying Forest. He exited this menu and went to what be wanted, Item/Info Shop! He hesitated then clicked on infoshop. His eyes shone at a file asked to be bought. [ All types of Special abilities, Their grades, and how to know who has what type ] AUTHOR!! Hey There. Super Sorry! There's been a mix in my writing. The chapters were too short before, and as I clumsily fiddled with them, I got an insight. I merged 2~3 chapters to make it longer. . But because of that, Some chapters are 100% duplicates of the merged ones. I will delete those chapters as soon as I can. So, do skip them and continue the story at the other side. Chap• 1~10... Merged longer chapters. Chap• 11~30... Duplicate. Very Short. Chap• 31~ onwards... Original content, continuation of chapter 10.
