CHAPTER FORTY It had been some time since Aggie had seen Kyle, so she was quite surprised to bump into him after she’d headed to the bar to top up her glass of bubbly. Turning around after she thought she’d heard someone call out her name, Aggie’s hand, with which she’d been holding the glass of champagne, hit him in the chest, causing liquid to pour out all over him. “Kyle! Oh s**t,” she cried out. “Sorry.” She looked on the counter for a paper towel she could use to dry him. “It’s okay, it’s okay,” he said, pulling his shirt away from his chest to try and avoid his skin from getting too wet. “My fault,” he said. “I shouldn’t have come so close.” “I thought I heard someone call out my name,” she muttered. “Must’ve been hearing things.
