The Awakening of the Crowned Wolf

Chapter Eight – Alora

After Nicolas hops into Alexi's bedroom window, he is in shock to see me. He growls ready to pounce.

"Who are you?" Nicolas demanded in his Alpha voice.

I am part fairy, so the Alpha voice doesn't work on me, but out of regard for the werewolves' traditions of honor and respect, I bow my head.

"Hush now Alpha Nicolas, I am Alora, Alexi's personal guard and one of the betas to her father the King. I just opened the window and let you in so we could get Alexandria out of here."

He calms down and looks perplexed. "Are you the person who shows up in Alexis's dreams?" Nicolas asks quizzically.

"That I am, young Alpha." "Alexandria is not just any Royal. She is the king's only daughter. Because of her being the White Wolf of prophesies, she had to be hidden. We will discuss this more when she walks in.”

Alexi walked in with her eyes wide open in shock to see the woman from her dreams sitting on her bed. You're real, right?"

"Yes, everything I've told you so far is true. I told you you're a royal, but you're also the King's only daughter. You're out of control with your emotions driving your powers. If we don't get you out now, your human parents and everyone you know here will be in danger. There are witches and vampires here making a narrative that you graduated early and took a soccer scholarship. We will also mask your wolf scent. We'll hide you in Nicolas' pack, and I'll teach you how to control your powers and become the princess warrior the Moon Goddess intended."

Alexi's enraged. Honestly, I didn't ask for any of this! I'm not a warrior! What about my biological parents? Couldn't they see me once in all these years? Why couldn't they just guard me at the Palace? I just didn't feel wanted. It's been my human parents who love me. But where have my biological parents gone? Could they be at their Castle? Do I have siblings?" Alexi sits next to Alora on the bed.

As Alora sighed, "I have told you about the night William almost took you. There are moles in the castle, and you weren't safe there. Do you think this didn't break the royal couple's hearts to let you go?

They were brokenhearted. It was in prayer that they asked the Moon Goddess why you were made the White Wolf of Prophecies. They didn't get a response. That's right, you have an older brother and a younger brother. Due to my Fairy heritage, I can watch you from different realms. Also, I've got magical cameras recording everything you do. William can't track it as easily as a mind link and uncontrolled magic. Magic leaves a trail, and I know how to hide it. Despite being werewolves, your parents don't have all the magic other species do. They're just Royal Werewolves. They could not risk your welfare coming to visit you or mind linking you. They love you so much.”

There's an eerie silence outside as the night air stops. As Alexi and Nicolas talk, Alora hushes them.

"You've got to turn off the lights, Nicolas."

An outline of a man, tall and slender, could be seen in the distance. Alora noticed that it wasn't William, but one of his scouts. The three of them were transported to Nicolas' pack by Alora. In a message of serious caution, Alora told Nicolas to let his dad know the vamps were there. Many were King William's lackeys coming for Alora.

Alora teleports back behind the vampire leach and breaks his neck, cutting off his head and then driving a wooden stake through his heart. Then Alora burned the vampire's corpse in the woods. In the end, she throws the ashes in the sewer, never to be found again.

Poof Alora has returned to the Redwood pack. Walking into the Alpha's office, she commands the Alpha to have his team come back right away. In her explanation, she explained to the Alpha that the soccer game in the townspeople's minds had never taken place. It is essential that the Townspeople believe Alexi graduated early and earned a soccer scholarship to college.

Alora looks at Alpha Damien Woods and shakes his hand. "Nice to see you again, Alpha. It has been a long time. Since I had to run away with Alexandria as a baby, if I am correct?"

Alexi looked stunned. This man saw her as a baby, and he knew her parents. Alexi looked at him. "Did you know I was in the human town, Alpha? I guess you saw me as a baby. You knew my biological parents?"

Alexandria was so adorable as a baby, Alpha Woods recalls. Alexia was born with hair as opposed to other babies who lack hair when they are born. She had a beautiful golden crown birthmark.

He came to the castle because he had been friends with the King when they were younger and wanted to congratulate him. His mate gave birth to Nicolas 6 months before Alexandria. Alexandria lived so close to this pack that he did not realize, in retrospect, how far away her parents lived. Imagine how small the world must be for his son and the Princess to become friends. It is possible that this was the Moon Goddess's doing, but only time will tell.

Coming out of his memories, Alpha Woods looks towards Alexandria. "Alexandria, your dad and I were best friends as children. We did everything together. When you were born, I left to congratulate him and see the new Princess. You were the most beautiful baby born with a full head of blonde hair. Sadly, that night did not go well, and you had to be hidden."

The Alpha continues to reiterate much of what Alora had already explained, "Alora comes into play here. She is your dad's beta's daughter. She is the fiercest warrior. Aside from her teleportation magic and werewolf senses, he knew she could travel through portals. It is for this reason that Alora has remained by your side. She could see you even when she was hidden from your view. It didn't occur to me you lived in a human town. Vampires can see your memories if they suck your blood. That is why we had to keep your location a secret. No one, not even the King, was allowed to know where you were, because of the vampires. That would have been too much danger for you.”

Alora recounts her conversation to all present, "I have spoken to the king. We have witches and Friendly Vampires going to the city where Alexi was raised. People will remember her as a brunette and not as a blonde. Everyone will remember her features differently than they truly are. The pictures in her parents' home will reflect this change."

The Alpha asks Alora, "Is it better for you to stay in the packhouse with Alexi or to stay in a separate cabin with them?”

"The packhouse should be fine," Alora replied.

Alpha Woods instructs Nicolas, "Would you be able to take them to their rooms in the pack house, then? Make sure it is near your room, son."

Nicolas smiles at his dad and then he smiles at Alexi as he bows his head with hand pointing as he navigates his way, showing Alexi and Alora to their rooms. "This way Princess," Alexi laughs and punches him in the arm.

Nicolas first shows Alora to her room, which is right next to Alexi's room. Then he takes Alexi to her room. The room is more like a studio apartment. The room is enormous and has a king-sized bed, a sofa, chairs, walk-in closets, an enormous bathroom with a hot tub in it, and a mini kitchen. Crap, she thinks, I never have to leave this room.

She looks at Nicolas who is standing at the door staring at her, "You guys are planning to lock me up in here, are you? I mean it looks set up, so I don't have to leave this room."

"We will not lock you up," Nicholas says with a laugh. He walks over and turns her around and embraces her. Lifting her chin, he kisses her. "Alexi, you know I am crazy about you, right? I would let no one harm you or lock you up." "I am wondering if we are mates. We will not know until after you turn eighteen, but it has drawn me to you since I first saw you watching me walk from the bus to your school. I am sure your wolf does not complain about me, just as my wolf lets me kiss you. I look into your eyes, and I am immersed in your soul." He puts his head towards hers. "I have fallen for you, Alexi."

Alexi looks up into his eyes and thinks, even though she was rude to him in the beginning, she was also attracted to him. Kiki liked him, too. She constantly wanted to be near him. Maybe, just maybe, she has fallen for him too. She puts her hand on his face and tippy toes to kiss him on the lips. Nicolas reciprocates a deep kiss until they cannot breathe. Alexi stated, "I have fallen for you, too." They spent the evening with each other and turned on the TV to watch some movies while lying in bed eating popcorn. Then, out of nowhere, Alexi blurts, "I wonder if Alora could teleport my baby Mustang here?" Nicolas just breaks out laughing.

There was a knock-on Alexi's door. Alexi yells, "Come in!" Alora comes walking in and she is kicking Nicolas out and letting Alexi know it is time to get ready for bed. They are getting up at 5 a.m. to train. She looks at Alora like she is insane and asks, "Who in the world gets up that early?" Alora replies, "You do now, missy."

Alora left to go back to her room and once in her room she mind-links the King. "We are in Alpha Woods' pack now. Alexandria is staying in the packhouse like I am, too. I will start her training first thing in the morning. I will have her prepared sire before her 18th birthday." Thankyou Alora, as always, I am in debt to you. Take care of my baby girl.", "I will, sire, I will die before I let any harm come to the Princess." The King replies, "I know you would." Then the mind-link is disconnected."

Alora wanted to ensure that William had not guessed they were in this pack. Alora leaps from her window, transforming into her wolf sapphire in midair. Alora walked around the grounds, checking everything. Her thoughts wander as to why she has never found her mate. Trusting the moon goddess, she knows her time will come. Alora listens quietly and determines that Alexi and she are safe for now.After Nicolas hops into Alexi's bedroom window, she is in shock to see him. He growls ready to pounce.
