Tension

1065 Words

Florette’s POV. I make sure to lock the front door properly behind myself as I walk out, knowing that she would probably be too lazy to come lock it herself. I step out and I find Jackson leaning against the car, his hands shoved in the pockets of his coat and his head bowed to the ground. I feel kinda guilty for making him wait such a long time out here, I was in so much of a hurry that I forgot to invite him inside. I would have served him something to drink while I attended to Bexley. He looks up at the sound of my voice, giving me a little smile. “You done?” He asks and I nod my head. “Sorry for keeping you waiting for so long” “Its fine. How is she? Is she better now?” He ask, rounding the car to the drivers side. “She’ll be fine”. I shrug. At least that is what she said.
