Alec's POV
The room is deadly quiet as looks of shock and confusion stare back at Elena. She shuffles her stance on her feet and I give her waist a reassuring squeeze. Christina was the first to move as everyone else remained still as statues. She stood from her seat and walked to the middle of the room, a small laugh escaping her lips.
"That is not something to joke about, Elena. Of course you have a wolf. How else would you possess healer abilities?" Christina asked as I felt Elena's body stiffen in my embrace.
"H-healer abilities?" Elena stuttered as her head turned up to look at me. Her big bright eyes were now swimming with confusion. I broke our gaze and turned back to Christina who was looking at us conspicuously.
