  Unknown POV   The air was thick with tension as I awaited the arrival of my informant, a wiry man named Orin, who had carved a niche for himself as a messenger in the underbelly of the supernatural world. Orin's footsteps crackled against the leaves; his silhouette sharp against the faint light. He approached with a sense of urgency, his expression a mixture of excitement and concern.   "My lord," he panted, coming to a halt a few paces away. "The attack on Alpha Alec was unsuccessful."   My heart, usually steady and unyielding, tightened in my chest. I had orchestrated the plan with precision, each detail meticulously planned to catch the Alpha off guard. Alec was a formidable opponent, known for his strength and cunning methods, but I had believed that my tactics would prevail.   "
