  Elena's POV   The Alpha House stood in brooding silence as dusk crept over the horizon. Inside, I was preparing for my shift. I moved methodically, organizing vials of medication, checking patient files, and reviewing the medical logs from the past week. The sterile quiet of the medical wing was a comfort.
