I stir from my sleep, loud Christmas music rousing my senses. This is how I’ve always woken up on Christmas morning. Even as a kid – I was never the type of kid to wake at 4am to see what Santy had brought; my parents would have to wake me and remind me who had been the night before. So, they came up with the idea of waking me with music instead, to make it more magical. It still feels magical now. I had lost my love for Christmas for a few years. I got bored with the consumerism of it all, the overconsumption of food and drink.
