"Oh, Rune." I run to the bars of the cell and reach my arms through them. It's an awkward hug, but it's the first physical contact I've had that hasn't made me want to shrivel up and die. "Thank you for coming. Thank you. I though I was going to die in here."
"I'd never let that happen." He rumbles, stroking his large hand down my head and back. So soothing. "I've been trying to find you since the day after you left my place. When I didn't see you the next day, I knew something was wrong."
"And Elijah, has he been searching too?" I look up at his bright eyes.
"Let's get you out of her and away from this place. Then I promise to answer all of your questions."
