Having Elijah tell me that we would be going back to Yvaria wasn't exactly how I wanted to say goodbye to him on Christmas day. But I don't know when I expected something to happen. Was I hoping that it would all just be forgotten, even after everything my parents told me? Once Elijah had left, after kissing me some more and promising me that everything would be okay, I told my parents what he had said. They seemed to already know.
