1487 Words
--   Staring at the white walls inside the room, Dawn was completely in daze as if he was waiting for the walls to grow some head and scared the hell out of him. He remained sitting on the bed, waiting and waiting as if he had gone completely insane,   What just happened? He asked himself without blinking. He had remained motionless like a child petrified by a monster in front of him. The sudden news of Reika going missing and River’s sudden suicide had left him speechless and scared.   It was like something was eating him slowly, cautiously and the moment he knew it, it’s already too late.   Dawn did not know what happened. He did not know if everything that happened was even true. There were no signs of River committing a suicide. There were no signs of Reika’s sudden disappearance. They were happy. River was happy. He was working well. He was taking care of his siblings well. He was smiling! What had gone wrong?!   Dawn did not know. Nothing in his mind can’t trigger anything that would give him clue. Even the sudden reset of time was unpredictable. It did not reach the seven days promise. For Dawn it felt like an error had occur. An unknown error he did not know from start.   Feeling frustrated, he pulled his hair and harshly wipe his face with his palm as he exhaled. His heart was beating so fast it’s almost like he could not breathe at all.   Without thinking of anything, he throw himself at the bed and turned to his left. He grabbed one pillow and buried his face there. He doesn’t want to see the white interior of the place because it felt like he was inside the mental hospital again.   Without any clue, all he could do was wait again. Wait and wait again then try and try again until he reached the outcome he wanted. Biting his upper lip as he inhaled the scent coming from the pillow, he wanted to drown himself as thoughts started to cloud his mind and his rational thinking.   He felt like everything was falling apart again and he was back to square one. The first time he had time traveled and the first time line he had encounter. He doesn’t know what to do anymore. He can’t find any clues about his friends sufferings except for Sejin and River. He doesn’t know the timeline and the series of events that will happened as if someone had sealed it inside his brain and now, when he finally got a clue. When he finally understand something, an unexpected mistake, error had occur only leaving him with feelings such as regret and fear.   If it’s like this what am I suppose to do then? Why is it like this?! Frustrations started pile inside his mind leaving him with no energy to spare anymore. He turned to his right and his eyes landed on the white ceiling of the room. All he could do now was wait again until the time send him back to where everything begun.   Bitterness started to spread in his chest. He doesn’t want to move at all and doesn’t want to do anything at all. He was getting exhausted again and he can’t fight his thoughts.   --   Lau and Christine stared at the big monitor in front of them. Inside was Dawn staring blankly at the ceiling.   They had been watching for a while now. Every reset Dawn made was recorded and Christine and Lau was there to ensure that his reset was safe without disruptions.   Lau stared at the monitor for a while now. He was contemplating inside his head thinking if they should help the helpless child about the problems he was experiencing. Lau then turned his head to the right as Christine sighed. She was reading a black book again as if it was the only thing that deserved Christine’s attention.   She slowly closed the book and glanced at the monitor again before looking at Lau when she felt his gaze. “Should we help him?” Christine said and Lau nodded. They were thinking the same thing.   “He’s the only one left. Our last chance.”   “But the rules” Christine remembered.   Lau drew his breath and grab a chair as he sat there, he opened his mouth and said, “It’s not againts the rules if we’re going to only intervene here. In this white room. This room protects you from time itself so we can assume that it’s safe here.”   “I’m still a bit--”   “-Let’s just give him some hints for now, we sealed his memories so that’s the only thing we can do. He’s like a lost puppy looking for his owner. And he’s our last chance, we need to settle everything in this timeline.”   Christine did not argue as she understood what Lau meant. “Then, let’s give him the book then and observe his actions afterward. If he can’t find any lead using that, then, well intervene as our last resort.”   Lau nodded smiling as he draw something in the air. Slowly a small white magic circle appeared and inside it was a white book filled with many secrets. Grabbing the book, Lau opened it and wrote something inside. Later on, the thick white book changed it’s color from white to black and the thickness was reduced.   Lau had drawn something in the air again as a black magic circle appeared in front of him. Sighing, he placed the notebook there and the black magic circle swallowed it.   --   Dawn was still looking at the ceiling as if it was an enemy. He was struggling to fight his thoughts and to give in to his inner demons. Inside his head, he was now calculating and creating a new path to take once he returned again.   As seconds passed, Dawn’s eyes widen as he was a black magic circle appeared in front of him. Later on a book appeared and Dawn who was still shock was speechless he didn’t even notice the book was falling in his face.   He flinched when the book landed straight to his face. Feeling the impact and his nose bending Dawn groaned so loud and harshly grabbed the book that was sitting on his face.   He scoffed at it as he sat on the bed opening the thing that fall on his face. He opened the book.   At first only a white page appeared inside. Nothing was written however a few seconds later the blank page was slowly filled with letters and words as if it was narrating something or telling something to him.   Dawn’s heart skipped a beat. He did not know what to feel as his eyes rolled to read the page that was written on the book.   It’s a diary. It’s my diary.   Dawn felt his hands shaking. His lips were quivering as the page was filled with his words. He don’t have any memories writing things such as diaries but the proof was in front of him. Dawn instantly felt his whole body having a goosebumps and the hair behind his nape was standing.   However, at the same time, he also felt happy. He smiled at the diary laughing at himself. With this he can understand the flow of the events more and he can predict his friends movement more.   Slowly, Dawn’s lips curled up his eyes that were mirroring his devastated feelings moments ago was now filled with happiness.   --   Hours after hours passed and now, Dawn was back at the timeline the time had prepared for him. In his hands were the diary he found earlier. Slowly, when Dawn opened his eyes, he was greeted by the scene of River sitting at the sofa and the police outside.   Dawn was confused at first. If I remember correctly, River and Reika had gone missing after  River’s parents went to the prison. Does this mean that they should not be there or was the error happened after River’s parents captured.   Calming his thoughts, Dawn surveyed the area once again. It was the same nothing was changed. He then glance at River who was silent. Without waiting anything, Dawn opened the diary in his hand and the letters that was scribbled before disappeared and a whole new entry appeared.   This is expected. I changed something so the entry will also change. Dawn comforted himself before reading what was written.   --
