Dawn and Sejin woke up late since they had stayed up until five am this morning accompanying River and discussing their plan. Dawn was the first one to woke up as he had his usual lunch with Roen while Sejin was still sleeping.
While having their lunch, Dawn told Roen about the plan they come up with last night not sparing any details. He knew the risk of telling such plans to other people but for Dawn, Roen was their friend and he knew how his mind works. If Dawn could think of such plan, it was also possible for Roen to think in that path.
Roen was silently listening to every detail and every work Dawn was talking about while thinking that River’s parents deserved what they will about to get. Roen nodded and acknowledge it giving a few advice and ways to properly deal with the aftermath. At first he wanted to help his half brother on influencing his authorities however, since he’s just a half blood and Sejin’s mother despised him, he already gave up on handling the matter and entrust the process to his half brother.
After discussing the plan, Dawn gulped the mango juice as he felt the thirst on his throat. Talking too much is really not my thing. He mumbled in his mind as he continue to eat his lunch. Roen who had finished digesting what Dawn had said, looked at Dawn and said, “What are your plans today?”
Dawn blinked as he already considered his course of action today. He first thought of going to his father’s house to get some of his clothes and money however, since he practically did not inform his father about his whereabouts, he doubt that he’s going to get out of his house alive. He also checked his wallet and it still has some bills.
As Sejin had told him this morning, he planned on visiting the police station and Dawn don’t need to come since it would draw suspicion on both of them. Sejin’s plan was to head there later not drawing much attention because even though their parents are barely home, their eyes were still everywhere.
So, in the end, Dawn was planning on heading to the public library to research on some books and he also heard that Mr. Anderson often visit the public library. If he can’t find any information on the books, he planned on talking to their teacher to see if he was really talking about the truth or he was just spouting some bullshits.
So after a while of thinking, Dawn finally opened his mouth. “I planned on visiting the public library today.” He said without any pauses thinking it was natural however, it was not the same for Roen.
Roen and Dawn had been friends since they were elementary. In Roen’s memory, Dawn was not a person who likes reading books and going to the library. Furthermore, he never liked the smell of books and silence which were usually present in a library.
“You’re going in a public library?” Roen can’t help but blurted out. Dawn who was eating happliy frowned at his friends reaction before he finally understood what had cause Roen to produce such reaction.
In his mind, he scoffed at himself. He already considered so many possibilities and many future changed since he was not acting like his old self but, he doesn’t really care as long as his friends remain alive for the next ten more years or so.
“Is it wrong now to go there?” He sneered. Looking at Roen’s eyes with mockery. Roen coughed as he did not expect the action of his friends and in the end he gave up trying to understand what was inside Dawn’s mind.
In the end he opened his mouth and said, “You’re free to go where ever you want anyways, I will stay here at the house so call me if you returned.”
Dawn nodded feeling thankful that Roen did not pressed the matter anymore.

Inside his Car, Sejin was lost on his thoughts as the music coming from the radio cover the place. After he woke up and had breakfast, he took a bath and drove himself to the police station. Last night he had calculate his plans and the steps he needed to take however, since he knew that his parents eyes are all over the place, he had told them he needed someone from the police department without telling them the over all details.
As he expected, since his parents were in abroad, they barely reply saying he had the freedom to do whatever he wanted. And so, after receiving his parents reply he did not pressed the matter anymore and continue to plan ahead of time.
After a few minutes of driving, he reached his destination and parked at the parking lot. The police officers who knew him by his car immediately looked towards his direction. They begun to feel nervous since the person who appeared was not ordinary. If he wanted to cut them off their ranks, they knew that this person can do it with just a flick of a finger.
Sejin who had expected this leisurely walked inside. A police officer who looked like a thin twig approach him with a salute and said, “Good afternoon, Sir, How may I help you?” He said in a polite way a much as possible.
Sejin nodded and he smiled mysteriously,
“Is police inspector Evan here today?” He asked.

After Dawn ate his lunch, he took a bath and head to the public library. However, he woke Sejin up before leaving since he knew that this friend of his an important matter he needed to take care off.
Having only a few bills in his wallet, Dawn did not take a taxi instead, he planned on walking to the library. If his memory was right, it’s only twenty minutes away from Sejin and Roen’s house. Holding his umbrella because of the heat, he walked under the blazing heat of the sun.
However, after walking for almost thirty minutes, he felt like he was walking in circles. Dawn looked from his left and to his right seeing the same road over and over again. He pursed his lips and violently wiped his sweat on his forehead.
Feeling irritated as the heat was sticking on his skin, Dawn drew his breath and eventually walk under a tree to get some shade and rest for a while. He was also contemplating if should just take a taxi because for him it felt like he was only wasting his time.
Dawn heaved his breath as he felt the cool air coming from the trees. It made him relax. Then, he took out his phone and looked at the time. He inwardly rolled his eyes as the number three appeared on the clock of his phone.
Dawn left Sejin’s house at two pm and now it was three. He inwardly grumbled as he blamed his memory for such predicaments.
I doubt if Mr. Anderson’s still there. He mocked himself as he looked at the road sharply. He initially wanted to give up and rest now since he knew it would be fruitless. Feeling a little dejected, Dawn searched for a big rock where he can sit since he felt his feet was turning soar.
After finding a rock, he sat there not minding his image and let his body rest for a while. He was looking at the road blankly as there was nothing inside his mind. It was oddly quiet that he was starting to get a little afraid.
After traveling back here to save his friends, he felt peace, warm, and contentment. However, he felt like there’s a big set back waiting for him after the universe reward him with such peace. In the future, he felt afraid whenever he was happy since he always felt that he doesn’t have the right to feel such feelings.
So whenever it happened, he felt like it was wrong and that soon he would encounter bad lucks. So with that in his mind he never allowed himself to be happy anymore. Now, as he realized these things, he felt afraid of the future and the path he will take.
As he rest, Dawn saw a group of children walking and laughing and in their hands were holding some ice cream. Feeling the heat of the sun, Dawn subconsciously looked up and then he returned his gaze to the children who were smiling, laughing and enjoying despite of the Sun’s heat.
He laughed at himself as he once remembered back when he was a child with full of innocence and happiness not knowing the harsh reality ahead. Dawn then remembered his friend River and the reason why he was in the past in the first place.
He smiled bitterly as he felt the warm wind passing through him. He was getting anxious again and he was getting a little bit scared of the future. In this world full of uncertainties, Dawn was sure that he should not hope too much.
