Langston POV

I was standing in the hall when something crashing into the back of me. I turned around to my dismay to find a beautiful looking girl, with long curly blond hair matted and covered in blood and brush? She had ice blue eyes and couldn't be taller then 5'5 but she was bleeding all over. Her clothes were covered in dirt and in some places torn, and she had cuts, gashes, scrapes and blood all over her body like she just went through something horrific.

I couldnt believe it.

something felt off about her, but not in a bad way. I couldn't put my finger on it.

I see alot of injuries daily, I'm the delta of the Blue moon pack. But I haven't come across a human with injuries much yet alone in our school. Something felt wrong. I didn't know what was going on, Im one by nature to help others. So I wasnt about to leave her there.

But something drew me to her like a magnet. Like I knew her somehow but I had no f*****g clue who she was.

I helped her up and we started talking, and she mentioned being chased by some men and a voice in her head. Im sure a trauma like that would cause anyone to have a mental breakdown of sorts. Im not entirely surprised.

What had me worried was the description of the men she gave me.

We've been having issues at our pack on our boarders with rogues, and some of our pack warriors had seen the very same rogues attacking our borders.

So what were rogues doing in human territory? and why were they chasing a human girl? What did they want from her?

We were sitting down on a bench. Talking about what's happened.

I realise that her family aren't safe. If they found her now and new her name, they'll find her family soon enough if they haven't already. No-one is safe. I need to take her back to the alpha. I don't know if he's going to allow this, but this isn't a normal situation. And it could be linked to the rogues at our boarder that appeared a few months ago. I'm not sure yet but I want to find out, and we need to keep her safe.

I feel a sense of urgency to get her to safety. Like I'm duty bound to protect her. Im not sure whats going on but I need to do this.

"I don't know what they want, or why they're after you. But I promise we'll figure it out. Until your safe, your parents aren't safe. Nobody's safe. But I promise we will figure this out. I have to go and make a phone call and make some... arrangements.. so we can get you to the safe place. I'm just going to be over there okay?"

I pointed across the hall not to far away, so I'm within sight but not ear shot. I don't want her to hear me talk with the alpha.

"And then well get ready to go. alright? I need to make sure when we leave its safe. you stay here and get the nurse to check you over alright? I'll be right back"

I remove myself as gently as I can and pull my phone out of my pocket as I walked over to the spot I had pointed out in the hallway.

I look over to her to see she's heading to the nurse to get checked, which makes this call a bit easier.

pulling up my contacts I find the alphas number and press dial.

Ring ring, ring ring, Ring ri-

"This had better be important Langston. I have a pile of paperwork I have to get through and new patrol schedules to set up." Alpha answered, sighing.

"Yes, Alpha. Actually, I have a situation here on human territory. Theres rogues outside the school. They're after a human girl. She was ambushed on the way to school. She ran into me in the hall, completely terrified. Shes scratched up pretty bad for a human and is in the nurses office right now, But alpha, This is wrong. Something doesn't make sense.. They were after her, a human. She gave the same description of the leader of the rogues attacking our boarder. I think it might be linked somehow. I'm not sure how. Something inside me is telling me to protect her with my life. I have this overwhelming urge to take her away to safety. Alpha, Shes not safe here and the rogues are still outside. I can't take them on human territory or outside the school. It would expose us. I fear they know where she lives, which leads me to believe they're not going to stop. There could be human casualties if we don't do anything. Id like to request that we bring her back to the pack to keep her safe and figure out what's going on."

The alpha let's out a menacing growl on his end of the phone. I had to pull the phone away from my ears for a few seconds.

"We can't have a human in the pack!".

"Alpha, with all due respect, She has rogue wolfs after her. If we don't help her they're going to take her and likely her parents. Godess knows what's going to happen if they get their hands on her. We don't even know why they want her. Whatever they want from her, it can't be good if they have it. Wouldn't it be best if we kept her closer to us and figure this out? We don't have to keep her in the pack house around other wolves. She could stay with me. But I am not leaving her side alpha. Me and Kane both agree we can't leave her side. So if she's not coming back, I'm staying. I'd much rather she come back alpha.".

Silence. I hear the Alpha sigh in defeat.

" Alright. I will have Beta Nick come get you. He'll bring some warriors to chase off the rogues, but Langston, Your responsible for her. and You're to bring her to me once you're here do you understand?"

"Yes, Alpha. Thankyou".

I hang up and put my phone away.

I turn toward the nurses office.

I Hear the nurse talking to rose about the incident. "So what happened? how did you get hurt this bad? I have to send you to the ER, you have a few nasty gashes that need stitching. I've patched up the rest and disinfected the gashes but I'm not able to do stitches. What the hell happened?"

The nurse is boring into rose. Rose has her eyes focused on the wall behind the nurses head.

"I told you already, I fell in a bush! Its not even that bad. I can hardly feel it. besides my mums a surgeon she can stitch it up later. Now can I go? I don't want to miss much of class."

I had to admire her. One minute she seemed a nervous wreck, and the next shes acting like nothing happened and has some badass strength. It was adorable if I'm being honest. This girl is a mystery.

"I can't let you go. I have to report this and inform the hospital. Just because your mums a surgeon doesn't mean you can go through the day with open wounds. You have to get it looked at. And I wouldn't be a good nurse if I let you up and leave without getting it sorted."

Nurse had a point.

But now I had to step in before plans get messy.

"Rose, You okay?"

She looked up at me, a little twinkle in her eye suggested she was a little surprised I was still here but was grateful.

"Yeah. Nurse maude here won't let me go though. apparently I need stitches and she can't do them.".

Hahahaha Had to love the attitude rolling off her now.

the glare the nurse is giving is insane.

"I'm not allowed to give stitches to students at school. Im perfectly capable thankyou very much! But I'm held to regulations and rules just as you are as a student!" Nurse retorted.

"Well, I was actually going to be taking rose home. If I give you my word and get her mom to call the school later to let you know rose is safe and well, would you allow me to take her now to go home where her mom can do the stitching?"

Rose looks like she's about to double over in laughter but is holding it in for the sake of my point.

Nurse is mulling over what I've said. Its hard to tell if she's impressed or displeased.

"Fine. BUT if anyone's lied, I loose my job. So you better get her to call in. And Rose, stop falling in bushes.".

I had to let out a loud chuckle.

by then the atmosphere was so much less tense and more carefree.

"Thankyou, nurse" I said respectfully.

Rose picks up her things and heads towards me and we walk out the door and down the hall way to sit back on the bench.

Rose looks up at me, biting her lip like.she has something to ask.

"Are you really taking me home to my mom?" She looked worried.

"No." I said bluntly.

"Then where are we going?" She asked.

"My home".

Beta Nick's POV

My phones ringing and Alphas name is on the screen.

"Yes, Alpha"

"Theres a situation at the school. I need you to take some warriors and chase away the rogues. They're after a human girl that goes to the school. They ambushed her not long ago and from what Langston told me they may still be outside waiting. The warriors need to find them, I need you to bring me Langston and the girl. I need them here in my office once they're back. And I want the rogue situation under control."

"Yes alpha."

He hung up. I put my phone in my pocket.

"You going out babe?"

I looked at my Stunning mate, and her scrumptious ass as shes walking past me. She just had a shower and is dressed in nothing but a towel, leaving alot of room for the imagination.

Shes the most beautiful women in the world. Angel, shes 5'7 with straight long brunette hair and delicious chocolate brown eyes. She has really large curves, but she is small and she is perfect for me. I love her with everything I have. Being Beta, means she is beta female. We share the beta duties. We share training the warriors and pups, we share serving the alpha on a roster, we share patrols but we always have time for each other. Unfortunately right now I have to go and deal with some rogues, instead of worshipping my mate and her godess given body made just for me. Im internally groaning at what I'm missing out on but my loyalty to the pack always comes first. I'll just get a taste of my beautiful mate later.

"Sorry angel. Alphas orders. Rogues in human territory. I have to pick up Langston and bring back a human girl the rogues are after ".

Angle snaps her head at me.

"Are you serious?? They're after a human?" She asked me.

"I honestly have no idea sweetheart, its sounds like it.. First things first. deal with rogues. Bring them back, then investigate whats going on. Then I'm keeping you all to myself for the night" I walk up behind her and wrap my arms around her gently. Feeling the mate sparks tingle through our bodies. A small moan leaves her gorgeous lips.

I quickly move my lips on hers, into a deep sensual kiss leaving her wanting more.

"No fair! Your going away and you do this to me!" She complains. I can't help but chuckle.

"Think of it as a parting gift, sweetheart. You'll be getting much more then that tonight." I smack her ass as I walk.out of the room.

I link Ben, Hansen, Felix and Theo who are at warrior training instead of patrol right now to come with me. I figured this way were not leaving our defenses defenseless and they're the best I can think of right now.

We get into a plain black BMW and head out of the wooded area for the human territory.

"Beta, no signs of rogues yet" Links ben.

"we're a few blocks away from the school. I want Ben to stay with me, Hansen, Felix, Theo - you'll need to head out and scan the area for the rogues. We cannot get up to the school until the rogues are gone. I want the surrounding streets scanned and I need someone to stay around here so we have a clear exit once we have the girl and Langston. No shifting. Human forms only. Our goal is to chase away the rogues at this point enough to extract Langston and the girl. Once its clear and we can head back, Ben will link you three and you will stay hidden in the woods and follow from a distance in wolf form. Are we clear?"

"Yes beta"

they said in unison.

Time to go get the Human.
