"What?! Your mother is going to marry you to the man you met at the airport who happens to be the son of your mother's business partner?" Chastity said in shock on the other line when Aliana called her.
Davidson got home and immediately locked himself in his room. Aliana had no other place to vent her anger at her mother's decision than her friend, Chastity.
"What can I do Chastity? Even if I don't want the marriage that Mom wants, I can't do anything. I don't want to marry a man I don't love, but what can I do? All my life I feel like I have no right to go against my mom's wishes." Aliana is sad like a child reporting to her friend.
