“He’s going to blow it.”
“Don’t say that.”
“He is. Look at him,” I warn Beta Frankie. Duncan is pacing in the foyer, waiting for Imogen to come down. He filled me in on his plan, and I do not approve. I don’t want my sister wrapped up in this mess. Plus, I don’t trust Alpha Brown. I don’t want him in my house, let alone anywhere near my family.
“S***, maybe you’re right,” the Beta scurries off to contain his Alpha. I just saw Alpha Brown heading his way and his daughter walking down the stairs to greet them. I watch as the she-wolf digs her talons into Duncan, trying to kiss him. I can’t watch this, so I watch the stairs for my mate, my Luna.
