“We are now family, after all.” I watch as my words light up her and my father’s faces. I know they were worried about my acceptance, but they shouldn’t have been. I can feel a power and warmth coming from Ivanna. I just wonder how my sisters are going to react to her.
“It’s very nice to meet you, Ivanna. I am so happy Samuel found you,” Leah says, bouncing in excitement. She has been pitching the idea for a while that my father tries dating. If there is one thing about my mate, she doesn’t believe in putting a cap on happiness. “So, what are you?”
I want to facepalm myself. If there’s one more thing about my mate, she speaks before thinking. Thankfully, Ivanna isn’t put out by Leah’s bluntness.
