“I really do not like this,” Christian groans.
“You’ve said that” I snap grumpily at him. It has taken about a week for the pieces to fall into place, and Christian has taken that entire time to complain. I want to find Kate, and I want Ashley out of our lives for good. I’m sick of waiting.
“Leah, I do trust you. I honestly will back your play, but are you absolutely sure this is the only way?”
Sighing in frustration, I get out of bed and pull on a robe. “It’s not the only way to get Ashley out of our lives, but it is our best chance to get Kate back, and give Richard back his mother.”
