I reenter the Alpha Suite to a happy sight. Kate is sitting up in the bed, the color has returned to her face, and she is happily slurping down the soup I had brought for her.
“Luna,” Kate smiles at me. My smile drops into a scowl, and she giggles. “I had to say it once,” she shrugs.
“How are you feeling?”
“Hungry,” she mumbles through the food in her mouth.
“I can see that,” I laugh at her. “How much do you remember about what happened out in the woods?”
“Everything,” Kate’s demeanor drops. “You weren’t lying to me, right? He is here; he is alive?”
“Yes. I will have an Omega bring him here to you, but first, I want to know what you know about what happened, and then I will fill in the blanks.”
