Mikhail was running at Demon speed. He wasn’t sure quite where she went but he had to get there. He glanced up at where Raven was hovering in the sky. It was over at the side of the house, he saw her crumpled form and sped to her side.
She was on her knees, scrambling up and staggering drunkenly, her wings gone now. Mikhail grabbed her and steadied her as Raven lightly touched down to the ground.
“f**k’s sake, Raven!” Mikhail yelled.
“She’ll be fine…it’s not the first time…”
“It’ll be the f*****g last time if you don’t watch yourself!” Mikhail growled, wiping hair from Natalie’s face as she stood up, her arm around his neck for support.
Raven calmly appraised Mikhail.
