Natalie reeled back as Mikhail’s body stiffened, his fists clenched tight, his back arched backwards, his head thrown back as he roared again, then collapsed to his knees, breathing erratically.
‘Why isn’t he collapsing unconscious or at least screaming in pain?’ Natalie thought to herself as she watched Mikhail as he knelt like he was praying, his head down, his eyes closed…the only hint to what was going on was his strange panting.
A beam of light split the dark clouds and descended from the sky enveloping Mikhail in it’s golden glow.
Londo landed behind Natalie, throwing a coat around her shoulders to protect her from the frigid rain and pulled her away a few yards from the intense beam of light, just as the rain seemed to stop.
