I’m pouring over maps and plans with Al, the only thing holding my nerves together is keeping busy and focused. A week without any contact at all with Una is starting to drive me over the edge.
A firm unexpected knock on my office door snaps my head to attention, shooting a look at Al he shakes his head. “Come in” I command.
Two concerned looking warriors are standing there but I sense further bodies beyond, I just shoot them a questioning look. “Your grace you will not believe who we found at the borders!”
Stepping around the desk both Al and I walk briskly to meet them and I am astounded by the sight before me. Bedraggled, weak, exhausted looking but unmistakable Zac and Bea. I had never expected we would see either again.
